Producer, DJ, promoter, and @soundsofvala label head, @soundsofkaspiann's work straddles a range of paces and moods, always with an eye toward the innovative. With a lower-tempo release due early next year on an undisclosed label, Kaspiann's more recent sonic explorations wade into swampy techno with psychedelic inflections.

In Patterns of Perception 117, Kaspiann pulls you into the flow through these murky sounds that dips and stomps along, with a selection of unreleased tracks from both his and his friends' studios, along with a handful of carefully unearthed gems.

Big one here. DJ Winggold was joined in the Netil studio this month by none other than the legendary @itsallhalal, purveyor of all things deep and hypnotic. A regular at the most esteemed dancefloors across the globe, she's known for her intuitive sets traversing a wide spectrum of sounds, all tied together by contrasts between dark, dreamy and atmospheric. 

A true multidisciplinary artist, she runs the Mutual Dreaming party series and label, founded North American festival Sustain Release and is also known for her fearsome, shapeshifting live sets. 

Live and direct from the studio, she contributed a typically stellar mix, bringing a lush and deep selection of techno and electro before DJ Winggold heated things up with an expansive set of ravey, psychedelic bass and techno. It's a special one x

The first podcast of the year features our dear friend, London-based DJ, and sound artist, Faery. Many of you are likely familiar with her work and may have experienced her enchanting performances at renowned venues like Amsterdam’s De School, Positive Education Festival, or London’s Village Underground. She has crafted an immersive, hour-long winter mix for us, which we are incredibly proud to present 🕯️

Faery’s hypnotic selections blend the psychedelic depths of deep techno, tripped-out psy-influenced sounds, dark vortex-like D’n’B, and experimental ambient. Her sound navigates through intricate sound design and rich, moody textures, both within the club realm and in listening scenarios. One of the notable examples of this is her ambient sound art project Bio-17 released last year, where original biorhythmic samples are woven into experimental ambient to create speculative sonic worlds 🌚✨

Faery’s profound introspective journey takes us through the shadowy realms of crepuscular ambient and downtempo. From the outset, we are lured and caught in its rich honey-like currents, spiralling like dervishes as we dive deep and deeper into the mystical sonic gyre. No words can do the sensation justice, so you’ll just have to try for yourselves. Happy swirling 💫

Podcast Series 41 | Faery

Rotterdam talent @nelly_dj for the newest contribution to the series, with a mix inspired by warm summer days in the city. Creativity is the tool Nelly uses to process, understand and cope with the world. She finds solace in forest walks as much as she does on darkened dance floors and losing herself in these moments allows her to reset, reflect and become re-inspired. 

With an intricate, developing journey from trip-hop, to deep techno, ambient, trance, dub and beyond, Nelly's world building approach has a certain pensive beauty to it.. perfectly fitting for the series.

Some time about a year ago, we invited our dear and close friend Olf van Elden aka Interstellar Funk to his second time playing the always mighty red fish dancefloor at Rio Hostels in Buritaca – and what a psychedelic and percussive ride Olf gave us!

Aiming not to let the energy dip, I took over for closing duties after a brief but fun back to back together – our first ever!

So, here's the recording of the closing slot with a touch of acid, percussive and deep house and techno bits from yore and new times – hoping to see you soon again @interstellarfunk!

mezcla lo meditativo con lo experimental, montando una atmósfera
eufórica allá donde pincha. No se casa con ningún estilo, y se mueve
con soltura entre el house, el disco, el techno o el downtempo.

Feel Fly, the alias of Perugia-based producer Daniele Tomassini, a visionary force in Italy’s electronic music scene and co-founder of Afro Templum, debuts on Taste Rec. with his new EP.

Titled "Festina Lente", an old Latin saying that means "make haste slowly", this deep work invites listeners to surrender to dance, movement, and the flow of energy in a timeless space, untouched by the idea of an ending. It's sincere and atmospheric, moving through the artist’s musical roots: progressive sounds, cosmic moods and a touch of lightness drawn from Italian dance culture.
The release blends carefully sacred, dreamy visions with raw rhythmic sequences and warm synthesized basslines: magical.
