Cezrick Marquell Malone, known as Que Malone born July 13 1994 in Chicago, Illinois. He mostly raised in Aurora, Illinois where he spent most of his adolescence. As a child, his grandma and her siblings were into music, that was his first introduction. Musically, he started writing music at the young age of 14. Recorded his first song at the age of 15 with a close friend in a basement but then stopped due to lack of confidennce. He attended Aurora West High school where he was very active in sports and in class. Que was a fairly good student and maintained a “B” average. He enjoyed playing football and running track the most. His favorite subject in high school was math. Que graduated high school in 2012 and was focused on becoming a engineer. He attended Grambling State University in August 2013 where he studied Engineering Technology. While being in college, he met a few friends and they formed a small group called Ahunna. Ahunna was a group of young rappers and singers from Texas, Illinois and Louisiana. Que Malone which rap name was “Quellz” at the time released his first mixtape titled “Early Mornings Come From Late Nights” in March of 2014. The mixtape got around the campus pretty fast. Everyone started to recognize who he was and his name on campus. He used that momentum to perform on campus and even write some songs for his fellow friends. In August 2014, he transferred to Western Illinois University to be more closer to home. Que was doing open mics every so often but also was very quiet musically during his first semester there. In February of 2015, he joined a poetry group called Cultural Expressions. Que focused on his poetry. It enhanced his word play and opened his eyes more. Que’s second semester of college, he believed that he was ready to showcase his talents. Being in Cultural Expressions, he utilized the opportunity to perform more on campus. Most of his exposure came from his spring 2015 semester. Que is most known for his collaboration poem performance at the GBCC Dance Troupe Event. He then released his second project “The Dropout” in November 2017 due to inspiration from a YFN Lucci concert. He dropped out of college to pursue music on a more serious level. Arriving home from college he experienced depression in which made him quit music for awhile. He started focusing more on his job and how he was going to survive week by week. He then started writing music again to release emotion. He released a few singles including: “Come & Go” , “Wake Up Call” and “Cancer Babies Interlude Part 2” in 2018. After taking some time off, the artist returned with his new project in October 2019 titled “Unapologetic Series 1”which is currently streamed at 70,000 on Spotify. Followed by the release of “In Love” music video a month later. Que Malone is set to release the music video of “Call On Me” which is at 15,000 streams on his Spotify alongside an untitled EP early next year.
