Hi,
I have worked in music one way or another since 1996. I've been a performer, musician, soundtrack composer, recording engineer, live sound engineer & record producer. 

I have toured the world as a live and recording engineer, working with artists as diverse as Rural Alberta Advantage, !!! (Chk Chk Chk), Hayden, The Besnard Lakes, Kid Koala, Alexi Murdoch, Holy F#*k, Azari & III, Land Of Talk, and Melissa Auf Der Maur. While living in Montreal, I was also the co-founder of Moondata Productions, an experimental collective of musicians who produced & recorded numerous concerts focusing on improvised collaborative performances. Between 2003-2010, over 100 musicians were featured at live shows, regularly featuring members of the Patrick Watson band, The Barr Brothers, Arcade Fire, Bell Orchestre, The Luyas, Suuns, and featured guests such as Lhasa De Sela and Jorane.

We are Broken Fires. We write simple alternative pop songs with with big melodies. We record these in garages, kitchens and other peoples houses.

Founded in Philadelphia by Andrew Thiboldeaux and Christopher Ward, Pattern Is Movement and its twelve year history map a vast territory of internal exploration and external output. As the band recorded a series of albums over the past decade — The (Im)possibility of Longing, Stowaway, and All Together — they also shifted in membership and in stylistic focus, eventually solidifying into a powerful duo: Thiboldeaux on Rhodes, synth, bass, and vocals, and Ward on drums. Deeply soulful and natively genre-defying, they toured extensively, joining bands like St. Vincent, The Roots, and Shudder to Think, before delving into their fourth album and, along with it, the brightest and darkest corners of composition, orchestration, and collaboration. Years in the making, Pattern Is Movement's new album will be released in January 2014 by Hometapes.

Daniel Isaiah is a songwriter and filmmaker, born and raised and still living in Montreal Quebec.
