Welcome to yet another edition of our codecast X sessions. For this one we're really glad to introduce Nils Edte.


He is an artist based in Stuttgart. Driven by his passion for music, who has evolved in the hypnotic ambient techno scene. 
His deep, organic and atmospherical sound identity was inspired by the classic genres and nature ambience and textures. As a huge supporter of the local culture scene, he also engages in different kinds of artistic creations and especially the connections between the different Arts.
Together with Laima Adelaide and Tama he is part of the Stuttgart based label Predawn Records.

Solid mix & blends, trippy atmospheres and a really cohesive story-telling are to be expected from this clean mix.

This second part of the Cardinal Directions EP marks the closing of two digital releases, providing four dubby flavours in each corner of the rectangular spectrum of which the latter two clearly take a more experimental approach to Dub Techno.

This week we are inviting @mayilovesummer to our realms. Founder of Brooklyn-based and queer-focused collective @hybrididentity. This mix is a live recording of @mayilovesummer performing the opening duties for Berlin-based collectives @art-bei-ton party at Zion, Brooklyn.

ARTIST'S BIO:
@mayilovesummer strives to share and support music that she loves, giving her a stronger and very relatable voice to convey what inspires her. Music allows her to act as a vessel, creating a shared soul-cleansing experience. The meditative and ambient sounds work dichotomously within her mixes as patterns build and transcend, taking different forms and allowing emotions to be felt deeply and majestically.

Musically, she is influenced by dark, hypnotic, bass-driven, broken-beat techno, experimental, and ambient. Growing up in a family that followed Vaishnava tradition (one of the major forms of modern Hinduism) she is to this day naturally gravitated to Eastern sonic patterns. Paying close attention to ethics, diversity, and inclusivity when she constructs her mixes, she is mindful of the presence of female and queer artists in her collection.

The first Espacio Perpendicular show is Lucid Dreams, an event series focused on ambient and experimental sounds taking place by night, where dreams are confused with reality. The first Lucid Dreams show was recorded live with F-on and Coeval. 

F-on is in charge of the two first hours of the show. Then, Coeval, an underground artist from the experimental scene, and co-director of Sonikas festival takes over until the end
