Второй этаж — семья в трауре.
"Ты убил её!" — кричит брат.
Третий — студенты с презрением.
"Урод!" — и смех, как удар.
На четвёртом — вода до колен.
Пятый — дипломы, смех, обман...

"Где ты был, когда она звала нас?"

Тень ползёт, но я не сдамся.
На крыше луна — как маяк.
А в трубке её: "Жду тебя!"
— "Жди... Я приду, я обещаю..."
Лампа погасла — но сердце не гаснет.
Лестница вниз, но не в отчаянье —
В объятия Тани, в её прощенье.

(Тихо, на выдохе)
Этажи... Высота...
Я жив, потому что она ждёт меня.
