NBC9 released his second full-length album State of Control on September 19, 2025, a record that defines his cinematic, bass-driven take on drum and bass. The album follows his 2024 return and marks a key milestone in a journey that has reestablished him as a progressive force in the genre.

This December, he delivers Fragments 2.0, a major follow-up to the original Fragments project. The new release features remixes from @user-449697299, @Psidream, @quoonemusic, @Omneum, @brukout_ca, @iconsdnb, the-mind-hackers, @djNORTY, @YASUKI1214, @d0shi-music, and @diodeofficial— each reinterpreting tracks from State of Control through their own lens, spanning deep, dark, and high-energy variations of drum and bass. Like its predecessor, which showcased Exile, YASUKI, Xtinctor, Lunatronic, AGRO, Irontype, and JRace & Albert White, Fragments 2.0 continues NBC9’s vision of connecting global artists through shared sonic experimentation.

As the head of Embassy 9 Recordings, NBC9 has created a home for his own output as well as a space for collaborators to explore forward-thinking drum and bass. His productions are designed with a dual purpose: to resonate in personal listening settings and to hit with power on dancefloors.

Before his return to drum and bass, NBC9 built an underground reputation under the name Influenza in the early 2000s nu skool breakbeat scene. Releases on Pure Funk, Illeven Eleven, Sponge, and Epidemic reached audiences across North America and the UK, with his music played in iconic venues such as Fabric London.

Two decades on, NBC9 stands with more clarity and intent than ever, blending experience with innovation to drive a sound that continues to evolve.

Hard work looks like success. With that said I humbly welcome you too what I call a "magnificent" experience. Music has been my life; my way of learning, teaching and developing oneself (into who I am today). With immense amount of pain... the struggles I've endured along that way. I've only gained the strength and courage to finally stand up, and defeat those who tarnish the game. The sacrifices I've made were all for my quirky/witty philosophical lyricism (if you will). This music I worked so hard for... finally! I can share with the world (something I have been very passionate for, for a very long time). My brother (produced by T) and I continue to create what I believe the world has been longing for... or desperately needs. Originality a long with creativity at its best! I love any and all types of different sounds and elements within music itself (from any genre). I like to think I adapted/adopted my style from everywhere; and everything. Although the greatest teacher of them all has always been reality. I simply "believe in myself." One day I hope you can see.... with what you can hear. Honestly I've work tirelessly at nights (both with my real job and the art of "RAP") trying to squeeze in what little I can, for the love experimental music that'll continue to opening the box within hip Hop (or music in general). Mixed with a wide range of many art forms / genres combined into one. My only goal is to connect and relate... vibe out to these "eccentric sounds" with "beautiful penmanship." My words have been carefully well thought out. I'm looking forward to sharing with you my gifts, my talents, my heart and soul, my everyday practice. This discipline has became life... my everything. Every moment on earth is vibe driven. Born Soul believes in bringing vibes to the forefront.  Born Soul brings an innovative style that lulls you into a world of Hip Hop that is rare. Born Soul is an engineer, producer, artist, and songwriter.  He is a native of Austin, Texas and active in the local music scene.  While in college, he started his career as a DJ and soon felt the spirit to become a hip hop artist.  Born Soul came across the path of groups such as OutKast and A Tribe Called Quest which remain influences in the innovative style that his fans currently enjoy. 
 Characterized by his Andre 3000-ish vocal comparison, intricate lyrics, melodramatic fashion and visuals, his music is often defined by often kaleidoscopic diverse and fun surprises, subject matters and imagery built on the conscious life story approach to LoFi trap.
