Foremost international techno outlet Drumcode is delighted to announce the release of its next full-length album, ‘Satellite’, by enduring Italian techno talent Sam Paganini.

Though he has been active since the mid nineties, recent years have been hugely successful for Sam, with searing techno EPs coming on revered labels such as Riche Hawtin’s Plus8, Sven Vath’s Cocoon and of course, Adam Beyer’s Drumcode. In his time he has been responsible for underground hits like ‘Zoe’, ‘Polyester’ and ‘Fire In My Arms’, all of which demonstrate his dynamic understanding of sexy, dark and hypnotic techno grooves and at the same time have earned him plenty of great Beatport chart positions as well as respect from the best in the game.

Incredibly, ‘Satellite’ is Sam’s first full-length album. Informed by his DJ gigs at legendary places like Berghain in Berlin and Cielo in New York, the album starts with a dystopian bit of sonic scene setting, as if a space ship is charging up ready to take off.

From there it’s a case of getting straight down to business. ‘Another Chance’ is a spacey bit of cantering techno and ‘White’ is rooted in devastating kick drums and is riddled with serrated synth lines that build lots of great techno pressure. ‘Down’ is an undulating bit of funky techno complete with choice vocal flourishes and tracks like ‘Lotus’ are prime offerings from the deeper end of the scale.

No two tracks sound the same on Satellite: Sam is always teasing out a new bit of texture, nailing a slightly different vibe or exploring different amounts of light and dark throughout the course of this most excellent album. This is evidenced by diverse cuts like ‘Dusty’, ‘Toxic’ and ‘Rave’.

Despite ‘Satellite’ being Sam’s debut album, it showcases his seductive style in all its glory across 12 fantastic tracks that will leave you begging for more.

Schubert has balanced the roles of a capable producer, live act, versatile artist and manager of Reverse Replay and Black Swan. In 2011, his debut on Sci+Tec, Cubist emerged and was played at nearly every festival by Dubfire, Richie Hawtin, and many other leading DJs eventually being used for one of the official Time Warp videos. Soon after, releases on Sci+Tec, Minus’s digital label Minus12, which was featured as a DJ Mag cover mount disc, and Black Swan have continued to reach an international audience.

As a DJ and live act, Schubert has performed as a headlining and supporting artist with dates in Paris, Budapest, New York, Ibiza, Miami, Barcelona, Los Angeles, Toulouse, and throughout India and southeast Asia. Alongside Dubfire, he has performed as a live act across Europe during Sci+Tec events.

Biography:

Jonty SkruFFF started DJing in London in 2004, rapidly picking up residencies at London´s fabric (DTPM) then Pacha Ibiza, before joining Sisyphos in 2012 where he remains the club’s only British resident DJ.

Rapidly becoming one of Sisyphos' best known DJs, he's renowned for spinning uniquely eclectic techno (and occasional house) sets, created by looping, layering and re-editing tracks together live, simultaneously on three and often four CDJs.

Vastly experienced as both a raver and ex-journalist, he’s renowned both for his always original and highly personal track selection and finely tuned sequencing, further individualised by looping, layering and re-editing the tracks together live on 4 CDJs.

Back in London he's since released on UK label What Came First (Jellyfish Invasion/ Warpaint, including a tough techno remix from Mute legend Daniel Miller), following on from previous releases on Sisyphon (Stiletto) and acclaimed remixes on Black Butter, Punch Music and Shitkatapult (his remix of Motor’s ‘Death Rave’ picking up a French Quartz Award (equivalent to a French GRAMMY). 

He also co-produces and co-presents the weekly radio show Berlin Soul, which is broadcast across an expanding international network spanning 55 terrestrial FM stations plus web broadcasters including Pioneer DJ Radio (Ibiza), Underground FG (France), BLN.FM (Germany) and Dance Paradise (Brazil / South America). He's also widely recognised for his parallel multi-faceted career that started in the 90s when he became of the first specialist dance music journalists.

You will recognize his uncompromising sound and strong energy, which is woven into every one of sets. The carefully selected compositions. The unique production. The strong personal touch, whether in production, the mix or the re-mix.

His personal work, recognised and supported by both prominent artists and owners of famous record labels such as Dubfire, Richie Hawtin, John Acquaviva, Monika Kruse, Umek, Popof, Adam Beyer, Stefano Noferini and others, have catapulted him to among the best, and opened the doors of the most prestigious clubs and festivals around the world.

Performances all over Europe (Germany, Spain, Netherlands, France, Austria, Czech Republic, Italy, Greece, Slovenia, England, Scotland, Hungary, Bulgaria, Belgium ...), America (USA, Colombia, Mexico, Costa Rica) and Canada are testimony of that.

With a highly acclaimed series of original tracks, production is still the centre of Mladen's business with regular releases on renowned labels such as Sci + Tec, Suara, Definitive Recordings, Terminal M, 1605, Octopus, 100% Pure, Deeperfect and Stereo Productions.

In March 2012, Mladen and Sian’s joint single "Front Pocket", remixed by Nicole Moudaber, reached number 1 on the Beatport Techno charts and the original mix No.3. In the January 2013 edition of Techno Tools Vol.1 on the famous Suara label, was a great success - up to four compositions were in the techno Top 20, and two in the Top 10, with “Physical Level”, on the 4th and “Tune” in 8th place in the techno charts. Mladen’s remix of "Airscape" by Stefano Noferini found itself in the seventh place on the Beatport techno list. The famous track ‘’Before Sunset” from 2009 has also been a huge worldwide success, and it has been ranked 12th on the tech house list.  “Solar Wind”, which was released on Sci + Tec, was one of the most played tracks in Dubfire's sets in 2014 and was positioned 12th on the Beatport techno chart. "730 Drink" on Night Light Records was on the 9th Essential mix of Richie Hawtin and “West Beach” and “Inside The Bootle”, (which has also appeared on Night Light Records), found themselves in almost every one of Richi’s sets in Ibiza in 2014 and 2015.
 
An equally large success has been achieved by "Dance of Shadows", "Global Mind", "True Story", "Under The Fool Moon", "Tangas", "Lady In The House", "Green Cubes" and so on.

It is also important to mention the successful remixes produced by Mladen for famous artists, including Mauro Picotto, Sebastian Leger, Cristian Varela, Stefano Noferini, Chus & Ceballos, ANNA, Manuel De La Mare, Paolo Mojo, Marko Nastic and Boris.

Mladen’s career began way back in 1999, when he joined forces with Sinisa Tamamović to promote events in their native Banja Luka and toured the Western Balkans. They soon founded their own label, Night Light Records, which is now the synonym for quality, innovation and releases that are always one step ahead.
