It's februrary, we all wait for winter to end and prepare for what comes next this year. Until then let's get through this last weeks of greyness and same unpleasing weather (at least in Berlin). For this second episode of Mixed Up @multifun prepared an etheral, and trippy set, playing her favorite proggy trance and early psy tracks of the last months. Hoping to make every boring day a bit more magical.

Trippin' Through The Trance Forest w/ Multifun | Mixed Up Vol.2

My closing set at PRST.CLUB Vienna, right after @shoki287 set. The first half  is packed with hard psytek, fast-paced psytrance, and a few explosive breakbeats. The second half has a touch of prog to it, but less than usual. Some transitions could be cleaner—it was late and intense.

Resident and TRIPS co-founder Hypertexture is a dedicated psytrancer who can be mostly found on Fusion Festival‘s trancefloor. He combines complex & texture-rich sounds with atmospheric elements and classic psytrance. For this mix the focus is on contemporary takes on psyish sounddesign in tech and related genres.

Hypertexture - SACHSENTRANCE PODCAST #105

Unfortunately the recording didn't work so here's a recreation of my closing set at Geheimclub Magdeburg from a few weeks ago. 

As this was an extended set I wanted to take the listener on a musical journey, taking the energy up and down again and again. You'll experience islands of heightened euphoria before diving deep into darker spheres again. 90s and early 00s trance builds the base of this mix, but you'll hear influences of techno, progressive trance and even ebm in there. Hope you enjoy!

I finally played a set (@hypnosis) that I really liked. It represents how I'm DJing at the moment. During and after the set, I'm a bit proud of myself because I finally feel like I've reached a point where I can't let go so easily. That's it.

For our 10th episode, we invited Lino L'amour. Lino L'Amour is DJ Ritalino's alter ego for techno and house. They are based in Leipzig and belong to the Escape Kollektiv, and are residents at MAW Magdeburg.
In this mix, they play a selection of their favourite techno tracks. Expect often psy-influenced sounds, but never vocal trash or edits.
