Let us give praise O faithful, to our Lord Jesus Christ, and bow down to His cross, the Immortal and sacred wood.

Special info about this night: This was the Final Worship Session of the Spring 2012 semester. It was in DBU's new BEAUTIFUL chapel. I used ClearRecord (LITE) the iPhone version. It records beautiful WAV uncompressed audio. I transcoded it down to 320kbps post recording. The Downloadable will still be 320 but the streaming will be 128 (that's just what soundcloud does).

Background: This is a very special night to a handful of people living in the Dallas Fort Worth Area. For around 2 hours every Thursday night 3-4 people pour out their hearts to Jesus leading 20-40ish Jesus lovers straight to the Father's heart! A lot of prayer pours into this and you can definitely tell, the Spirit is thick in the room, and every body is in their own "element". Prayer / Healing / The Word / Worship all happen during these beautiful meetings.

It's completely public and anyone can come, the info is on the website. If your ever in Dallas during the Academic school year come and join us in Worshipping the Savior who loves us so well!

Acts Response (Annunciation)

“Father God” is a song about man’s fallen state and his subsequent realization of the indescribable goodness of a new life with God and the change it brought about. This new life, in which man comes to understand and appreciate his full purpose and potential, is established through the Holy Sacrament of Baptism in the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The use of “managed” here does not imply our ability to exist, survive, or endure without Existence and Life Himself. Instead, it is an emphatic proclamation of man’s acknowledgement of his dire need for, yet unworthiness of, salvation.

In “Amen Amen Come” the soul’s yearning for the return of Jesus Christ in His glorious Second Coming is clear. The elaborate imagery in St. John’s book of Revelation describes the magnificence of this eternity in which there will be no more pain, tears, or suffering, but the Church will be forever joyful with Her Groom whose light shines brighter than can be comprehended. With excitement and patience, with eagerness and diligence, with hope and love, the Church eagerly waits for this Day. Come quickly, Amen!

Amen Amen Come

“Resurrection” tries to convey the reality of our victory over weakness, sin, and death through the power of our Lord Jesus Christ’s resurrection. Amid life’s struggles and troughs, it can be easy to lose sight of this fact and how in His resurrection, we rise daily from the depths of the darkness that surrounds us. His resurrection is alive in us today—now, and for this reason the lyrics emphasize “gives” and “makes” in the present. By His death He abolished death, and in His resurrection we experience new life. We preach His resurrection when we shine as lights in His glorious triumph, and we await our final resurrection when we will be forever surrounded by and engulfed in this exuberant, incomprehensible glory.
