Feels good to upload another song! I recently moved into an old house, close to a river, it has character, I love it cause I put my old baldwin on it's original wood floors it has in the living room, love the acoustics especially with higher ceilings, I'm so thankful:) A new beginning. 

I recorded this live take late last night, close to 2am, got it my first full take, which is always nice!
I wrote this song back in 2021. An experience definitely inspired this song. Things can sure feel like heaven for awhile, then there's that tough surprise, after giving and sacrificing so much. I hope you enjoy this song, thanks so much for listening!:)

Driving With The Moon (Original Song Live)

The idea for this song came to me randomly while driving down some backroad a few years back, and I recorded the initial idea spur of the moment. For whatever reason, the rather morbid theme came out in the process and I just went with it. Nat is a daring soul and surprisingly encouraged that we record it and with her considerable help we fashioned this recording. Notable is that Nat has taken on the ability to add some beautiful pedal steel guitar throughout the song using her well established keyboard skills and this first run at it was very satisfying. A place for sound freaks lashing out from the dark. 

So there's all kinds of stuff on this page, but after months of schizophrenic debates about who was playing with who and who took the lead while doing it, finally, the decision was made: all my alter egos got together and decided to form a band. From 2020 on new tracks are created under the moniker Gruppo Infernal. Only pure MMTJ tracks will still be named as such. 

Gruppo Infernal still relies on my work as Me, my Thumb and Jack, an ongoing quest for a liberating approach to sound creation where the human body acts as an oscillator amplifying the natural 50hz hum. Direct live recording, improvisations and delay loops only using analog filters and effects. No editing, no overdubs. Gruppo Infernal adds digital treatment to this original sound material. 

UnterPitch was an alter ego using samples & synths.
Bleached Coffins was a one-off project using guitars.
