Purveyors of quality techno !Organism return with a new release from French producer Mylo Salte backed with superb remixes from Yan Stricker and Alexi Delano...

Hot on the heels of the recent Yan Stricker single, Swiss label !Organism return with their latest signing Mylo Salte. Salte has been performing live sets at festivals and clubs across Europe for the past 6 years and more recently has been producing and releasing records for labels such as Tracer, Alchemy & Plastik FM. His bass heavy take on minimal techno and tech fuelled house have gained him quite a following, and brought him to the attention of the excellent !Organism.

His debut single for the label kicks off with the original version of ‘Soak’, a superbly shuffling slice of glitchy minimal techno with a dark and menacing edge. Layers of percussion provide the base for broody stabs and intense synth riffs that ride the track from beginning to end, simply produced and highly effective.

Next up we have label boss Yan Stricker at the remix controls, delivering a version of ‘Soak’ that strips away some of the darker elements, jacks up the drums and provides a superb atmospheric alternative. This is peak time techno that is certain to find favour wherever it is dropped!

Second of the original tracks comes in the form of ‘Tease’, a tense techno workout with tight distorted loops, pitched vocal edits and a tough heads down vibe. The heavily reverbed stabs in the latter section add a spacey warehouse feel whilst the main riffs keep the intensity levels turned right up, great stuff.

Finally we have the excellent Alexi Delano, who takes time out from his production work with Drumcode, Plus8 and H Productions to rework ‘Tease’ into a rolling slice of underground techno. Driven by an unyielding arpeggiated bassline this mix is another surefire winner.

Another super solid release from a label that everyone should be keeping an eye on...

It's been a while since we wanted to have french producer Mmyylo on our mix series. Based on Biarritz, Mylo has been releasing music on labels such as Damon Jee's imprint, Dust & Blood, Sincopat, Nein, Global Underground...

His love for analogue synths, guitars and voices has brought him into playlists by the likes of Permanent Vacation, Local Suicide, Magic Tape, Les Yeux Orange and DJ sets by Dixon, Danny Tenaglia, Damon Jee, Curses and Vox Low among many others.

For this special occasion, he's recorded a mix with his own music, both released and upcoming, resulting in a dark and intense one hour journey, just how we like it.

Play Pal Mix 062: MMYYLO (Dust & Blood / FR)

Unstoppable techno outlet Organism! Looks to assured producer, live specialist and techno talent Mylo Salté for its next release, which comes with a remix from Re:Axis.

Combining elements of dub, minimal and micro house in his productions, Salté is part of the Southnoise crew as well as having released on labels like Terror Clicks, Tracer, and Alchemy since 2005.

His first track ‘Keyword’ is a hunched over and insular track with squirrelling percussion, icy hi hats that leaves trails in their wake and tumbling drums. Nervous synths and dark, filtered vocals add extra atmosphere to the groove and never allow your attention to wane.

Next up is ‘They’re Nothing’, a more urgent and direct cut with alarm-like melodies and imposing robot voices bleeding in from above. It’s a perfectly unsettling track that stomps in a rooted rhythm and will have dancers doing the same.

Portuguese remixer Re: Axis has released on labels like Frucht and Autist and is a skilled piano and jazz improviser. His version of ‘They’re Nothing’ is a rubbery, hurried track with globular bass notes, minimal percussion and subtle background synths that add depth and weight. It’s a track that grows increasingly spangled and really worms its way into your brain.

Once again Organism! have come up with the no nonsense techno goods here.

Eighteen years since their debut release, Cologne-based record label Minimood prepare to unveil their next extended player from French producer MMYYLO...Standout track ‘Call Of The Pawns’ is a chugged-out procession clocking in at 120 BPM where spectral arpeggios spiral like flickering apparitions. The percussion snaps with ceremonial intent whilst swirling textures invoke ancient rituals. A gloomy urban scene seen through a broken window, neon lights reflected in the glass. Fog envelops the dark skyscrapers, creating a dystopian atmosphere. MMYYLO is definitely back on Polaris. He presents us with Fury, a dark song dripping with darkness. Brazilian maestro Waltervelt (Ellum, Diynamic,...)is also on hand with a remix full of madness that will have many screaming. Enjoy!

MMYYLO is a French producer who has created a niche within techno for his
distinctive approach, fusing analogue synthesizers, guitars, haunting vocals, and
hypnotic rhythms. Here he drops two tracks for Oliver Huntemann’s relentless
Senso Sounds imprint, perfectly merging his own aesthetics with the label’s philosophy.
Innelvisun is a deeply grooving techno burner built around a perfectly crafted arp
sequence that mutates over the track’s run time.
Innelvistep continues the journey with another killer arpeggiated synth from
MMYYLO’s preferred Juno-60, and with the layering of washes and pads builds up
an intense and thrilling vibe.
Of these two tracks MMYYLO states: "I built these tracks following my usual
process. First, I look for inspiration on the synthesizer I always use the Juno-60.
Once the arps are in place, I focus on the vocals and their effects. Then I look for
a guiding line with effects, harmonies, etc. Both tracks were created at the same
time, based on the same foundations. I always try to maintain a groovy, danceable,
and dark atmosphere”.

The	excellent	!Organism	label	delivers	the	latest	single	from	Mylo Salté featuring	2 new	tracks	of	searing	techno	backed with	a	remix	from	Holland’s	On/Off…

Following	on	from	the	excellent	recent	single	from Kimono,	Swiss	label	!Organism	return with	the	second	single	from	Mylo	Salté.	Mylo has	been	performing	live	sets	at	festivals	and clubs	across	Europe	for	the	past	6	years	and	more	recently	has	been	producing	and releasing	records	for	labels	such	as	Tracer,	Alchemy &	Plastik	FM. His	bass	heavy	take	on minimal	techno	and	tech	fuelled	house	have	gained	him	quite	a	following,	and	led	to	him releasing	the	superb	‘Soak	You	Tease	Us’	on	!Organism	earlier	this	year,	a	record	which	was selected	by John	Digweed to	appear	on	his	‘Structure	2’ compilation	on	Bedrock.
 
His follow up single for the label kicks off with ‘Chebli’, a deep and rolling slice of floorfilling techno that utilizes tight drum patterns, looped synth riffs and pitch shifted vocal samples to great effect. 
 
This is followed by the original version of title track ‘Sending Behind’ which follows the thread of dark pitched vocals and tightly looped synth lines, delivering an intense and dramatic piece of techno that is a surefire winner. 
 
Finally we have Holland’s On/Off at the control’s for a remix of ‘Sending Behind’. On/Off have been building a strong following with releases on 8 Sided Dice, Fone Audio etc and it’s clear to see why from this superb remix. The duo pick up the parts from the original and twist things into a driving reworking that uses relentless percussion and building loops to create a real audio climax, quality stuff. 
 
This is another solid release from a label that is rapidly becoming a benchmark for quality techno.

Switzerland’s !Organism imprint returns with another sterling release from label favourite Mylo Salte featuring remixes from Mazel  Source, Timmo & Flug (Junior Lopez)…

Alongside label owner Yan Stricker, France’s Mylo Salte has been responsible for some of !Organism key releases including the outstanding ‘Sending Behind’ single from last year, now he is back with a brand new release featuring more of his trademark deep, techno sound.

 

‘I Promise’ is a tough and rolling slice of underground techno built around a pitch shifted spoken word vocal sample and a relentless techy riff.  Razor sharp drums give the record an intense feel whilst the dark FX give a menacing atmosphere throughout.

 

The first of the remixes comes from fellow French producer Mazel Source who chops and splices the vocals to create an off kilter feel before dropping some sublime twisted yet melodic keys that give the mix that something special.

 

The second remix comes from Bulgaria’s Timmo who turns in a stripped back rework that utilizes a relentless, pulsing bassline to superb effect.

 

Finally the package is completed by Flug, AKA Junior Lopez, who turns in a deep and hypnotic reworking that is a perfect final piece in the puzzle.

 

‘I Promise’ is another standout package of techno from one of Switzerland’s leading labels.
