Today's high-speed, high-anxiety social media culture is a 24/7 torrent of noise and flimflammery. As my sweet, now-departed mother-in-law would say, it's "crazy-making!"

MinnesotaSoundscapes.com is my small attempt to offer a measure of temporary relief from the madness. It's a collection of stereo sound portraits captured in quiet, remote locations across northern Minnesota. No music, just clean, spacious natural ambiences.

(WARNING: This material won't grab you by the ankles and swing you around in circles the way you might expect from some of your favorite music.
