Jersey City mixtape dj, Semaj da Dj is renowned for his unique style of blending, mixing, and mash-ups of Hip Hop & R&B.

•   Inspired by local DJs and the Jersey City style of mixing and combining music. Having a love for music creation, he created his own record label “T-O-M Digital Productions” in 1998.
•   By 2006 Semaj’s mixtape releases soon became popular all over the country, being played on radio stations, boom boxes, ringtones, and other platforms. His talent was recognized by a local film artist who featured him in the “Jersey City DJ’s” documentary, which followed his success with his viral mix titled “Jersey City Mix”.
•   As a result of his rise to fame, Semaj was approached by a mixtape distributor who provided him with even greater exposure throughout different states. His accomplishments in the industry led to his nomination for “Best Blend/Remix DJ of The Year” at the 2017 All Star Mixtape Awards, after following up his 2015 nomination as well.
•   Today, Semaj da Dj is a well-known personality in the music industry, hosting major events for companies such as Jimmy Jazz and entertaining audiences worldwide. He has come a long way since his humble beginnings and continues to inspire and captivate audiences with his unique style of music.

mY MOTHER NAMED ME EPHRAIM FROM THE BIBLE, MEANING VERY FRUITFUL, AND IT'S PRONOUNCED EFRIEND OR EFROM. I WAS RAISED THE YOUNGEST OUT OF FIVE BY MY MOTHER WHO WAS SINGLE BUY NOT DIVORCED FROM THE FATHER I HADN'T MET. MY MOTHER WORKED FOR BOB JANISEWSKI, THEN HUDSON COUNTY'S CHEIF EXECUTIVE AS HIS SECRETARY, WORKING HEAVILY IN DEMOCRATIC POLICIES TO MOVE ON TO BE COUNCILWOMAN OF JERSEY CITY'S WARD F. I WAS INVOLVED WITH MY MOTHER, ALWAYS WITH A SPIRIT OF ADMINISTERING JUSTICE FROM WRONGS DONE IN THE HANDS OF AUTHORITY FIGURES e.g. RULES, ORDERS, POLICIES AND TEACHINGS.

AT THAT EARLY STAGE OF MY LIFE, I WAS TOLD BY THOSE SPOKEN OF AUTHORITY FIGURES SUCH AS MY MOTHER, TEACHERS, AND FAMILY FRIENDS THAT I SHOULD BE A LAWYER EVERYTIME I SPOKE UP FOR SOMETHING OR SOMEONE I FELT WAS WRONG, OR BEING DONE WRONG.

GROWING UP IN POVERTY AND CONTINUOUS WANT DROVE ME TO GET IN TROUBLE WITH beTHE LAW, JUSTIFYING, RATIONALIZING, AND MINIMIZING THE THEIVERY BY MY UNFULFILLED NEEDS AND OTHERS ABUNDANCE, LUCKILY SEEING THE ERROR IN MY TRAIN OF THOUGHT BEFORE I GOT IN TOO MUCH TROUBLE.

I WAS ARRESTED IN 2012 FOR A CHARGE THAT I WAS COMPLETELY INNOCENT AND UNAWARE OF, WHICH TURNED OUT TO BE A BLESSING, FOR IN A FIGHT FOR MY FREEDOM, NO THANKS TO ANY STATE APPOINTED LEGAL REPRESENTATION, I WAS ABLE TO THOROUGHLY EDUCATE MYSELF ON THE HISTORY AND GROWTH OF LAW AND IT'S CONCEPTS AS A LIVING BODY, ULTIMATELY LEADING ME WITH A THOROUGH COMPREHENSION OF THE CONSTITUTION AND DEEP UNDERPINNINGS FOUNDATING OUR ADVANCEMENT OF OUR SPECIES' SOCIETY ON THE PLANET SINCE THE DAYS OF THE FIRST HOMOS.
