Hi,
I’m really excited to release the very first guest mix on my little label. It has always been my dream to support other artists and for me this is maybe even more exciting than making my own mixtapes.
So, my very first guest wizz is none other than Samer Soltan (formerly known as Drexander), who hails from Tunisia and is one of my favorite DJ’s.  The first minutes of this podcast sound distinctly Oriental, but that’s only the start of a fascinating journey from the East to the West…

Tunisia is a special country for me because I visited it when I was still a child. I still have vivid memories of the beautiful cities of Monastir and Mahdia, and for me it really felt as if I was a little princess in the middle of the Tales of 1001 Nights. I especially remember the old entrance gate to the little town of Mahdia (that’s the gate you see on the picture – it’s named Skifa El Kahla).  I still recall entering this gate and then walking through that dark narrow tunnel which seemed at least 100 meters long (it’s surely shorter, but as a little child everything looks bigger, you know). It’s the kind of tunnel where something magic happens when you walk through it. Once you arrive at the other side, it really feels like entering a different world…
So I invite you to walk into this tunnel, and on the other side you’ll experience the magic world of Samer Soltan…

Mo Bangles, a.k.a Desert Jesuz, rekindled his passion for DJ-ing in 2018 after a hiatus since the Vinyl era, where Jorge Capkovic (R.I.P) played a pivotal role. His journey was reignited by the mesmerizing Playa Sounds experienced during his inaugural visit to Afrikaburn. A promise made to himself materialized in 2019 when he returned to deliver his debut Burn set.

The Ethiopian Coffee Fractal Chill became the canvas for Mo's distinctive blend of Downtempo beats and Slow Soulful music, a departure from the usual Burn soundscape. 
The ambiance he crafted resonated deeply with the audience, offering a profound sense of peace, love, and tranquility. The crowd's enthusiastic response became Mo's driving force to continuously share his music with beautiful souls.

While Mo doesn't have a specific genre preference, he believes in playing music that exudes love from the heart. Influenced by legends like Sasha, John Digweed, and Sander Kleinenberg, who captured his imagination during the Underground era, 
Mo also draws inspiration from local talents like Don Wildman and KRIZZOLOGY (Family), #The Thrillogy 

Mo extends his gratitude to music enthusiasts worldwide, acknowledging the support and love he has received. He considers himself honored and blessed by the connection. He envisions music as the binding force that harmonizes us in the matrix of existence.
