“X Gon’ Give it 2 Ya,” is a collaborative mix with Alabama-based DJ/Producer, Byron The Aquarius; conceived as a  response to the Charlottesville protests that perpetuated divisive separatist rhetoric and white supremacist ideologies. 

This Jazz-House arrangement is explorative, funky, melodic, infectious, and sultry. The voice of human rights activist, Malcolm X is embedded in the mix to contextualize black anger, pride, empowerment, and liberation, and to steer the dialogue about race in America.

On this Labor Day weekend, we celebrate all those involved in the grassroots movements, but there’s much more fervor, skill, scrutiny, and tenacity required of everybody to combat and dismantle systemic injustice(s) and institutional brutality.
