Asura aka Charles Farewell is a well known artist since the 90’s, and most renowned for his psychill ambient music delivered straight from the heart.
However, with his crafty musical versatility, he creates atmospheric pulses of organic beats and dreamy oriental ambiances. His talented ways to achieving balance, blending and melding to bring together unison in multiple songs are not afraid to also bring a dance floor on fire with his legendary 4/4 beats.


Here is Charles latest work on Altar Records titled “Atmosphere”. It is a beautiful album that seamlessly flows from one track to the next, with movement like a gentle organic spiral.


This new album is musically weaved together of four previously unreleased tunes, along with some of the best recent compilations.


For an utmost musical experience, all of the tracks have been remixed and re-mastered in 24 bit. In addition, the album cover art perfectly portrays Asura’s elegant and neat melodies.

On the information superhighway, individuals around the world become connected in ways they never dreamed of before. Like minds meet and exchange ideas at the speed of thought, millions of times every day. The home PC patched into the world wide web becomes like a neuron in a vast global brain. Cultures collide, mingle, scatter to the four winds, collect in fertile areas across the planet. 

Geographic boundaries disappear. Revolution is at hand. 

In 1999, a chance online meeting of two cultural castaways became a mutual obsession. Once the initial setup of software was in place, the music started to flow. DnB collided with techno, jazz, funk, and classical as files were transferred back and forth from California to France. The end result was greater than the sum of its parts. 

Dreamshader and Daytuner are now living together, creating music from the comfort of their home studio. They’re still castaways, but at least they’re on the same island together.
