Gregor Tresher kicks off 2015 looking to break new soil with his first ever full release for John Digweed's Bedrock Records.   

Last year was as hectic as ever for the Gregor and he came into it on high from the success of his artist album Nightcolours and having closed out 2013 by releasing an astonishing Laurent Garnier remix of the title track, on his own imprint.   Time to relax a little maybe? Not a chance. January saw the remixed version of the album hit the stores and this was backed within a few weeks by 'Taurus', Gregor's enticing collaboration with Petar Dundov. The summer saw him remix the Chymera classic 'Shadowdancer' and he closed 2014 with the superb 'Midas / Disturber' double-header.   

Somewhat of a musical chameleon, Tresher is as at home creating deeper shades of house for the likes of Moon Harbour and Ovum as he is techno rhythms for Music Man, Cocoon and Drumcode.   With label boss Digweed a huge fan, Bedrock is yet another perfect fit for the German and he opens his account with the mighty, melodic and Kraken'esque 'Goliath' and the razor-sharp lightning bolt that is 'Stormblade'.

Since its beginnings within the Euphoria collective in the 90s, Jaime Torrealba aka JIMI has constantly explored the deepest corners of house and minimal music. A central figure in the Chilean scene, he has established his unique style: a subtle combination of stripped-back grooves, hypnotic textures, and a dub-techno approach that has distinguished him for nearly three decades. It is therefore only natural that JIMI today joins the Fantastic Friends family with his new project: Pretty Things EP. This EP presents itself as a sound exploration between minimal sophistication and organic energy. JIMI confirms that he remains an essential voice in the underground scene, loyal to his heritage while constantly seeking new artistic paths.

It was in 2014 when a mutual friend introduced me to Victor Ruiz while he was staying here in Berlin. I invited Victor to my studio where we had a fantastic session, playing our music to each other, listening to stuff we like and simply talkin and connecting. Since then, we became close friends as well as starting to work together. Victor has released two outstanding EPs on Electric Ballroom by now. This summer we met again and recorded three tracks. The result is our first joint EP, of which I am very proud. (Thomas Schumacher, November 2015)

Pan-Pot’s busy touring schedule over the Summer no doubt inspired their upcoming 12” ‘Captain My Captain’. Having performed for countless festivals and main-stage crowds, their new tracks put forth glacial soundscapes so epic they could sink the Titanic.

If it's possible to say this, title track 'Captain My Captain' is actually the more restrained and studied of the three - featuring vocals written and recorded by Los Angeles based studio vocalist and label freund Cari Golden, who also wrote and performed the vocals on Anja Schneider's recent release for the Hi Five! mobilee compilation 'Something Left'.

Meanwhile, 'Black Horse Down' and 'Bad Photocopy' have everything a true Pan-Pot fan could ever wish for - think dark and heavy, builds and drops, synths and loops - true four a.m. grit to get your hands in the air and keep you raving until dawn!
