2013 saw Silicone Soul celebrating the 10th Anniversary of their Darkroom Dubs imprint. Launched in Glasgow back in 2003, the DRD stamp has become a mark of quality and seen many established names exploring deeper realms whilst also unearthing fresh and exciting global talent. 

From Fabric to Watergate, The Standard Rooftop to Club Bahrein Buenos Aires, the Scottish duo have celebrated their disco-decade with a string of '10 Year' parties spread across the last 12 months, building on Darkroom Dubs already strong global reach. 

To round off their birthday in style Craig and Graeme have asked some of the label's main acts and strongest supporters to contribute a track for a new compilation. Artists including jozif, Ryan Crosson, Uner, Gary Beck, Of Norway and Simon Garcia all feature in the collection that Silicone Soul present as a snapshot of the future sound and musical vision of Darkroom Dubs. 

Due for release Feb 24th 2014 on double 12" vinyl and download.

Maceo Plex - Can't Leave You

Seth Troxler returns to his Play It Say It label next week (Thursday 24th November), with a massive remix of Dino Lenny & Doorly’s ‘The Magic Room’. We’ve got the exclusive premiere of the track above.

Troxler and Lenny have turned in their edit of the track together, which teases with a disco riff and spoken word musings before a huge piano solo takes over towards its close.

Troxler launched Play It Say It in 2014, and has since released artists including Butch, Jesse Rose, Leonardo Gonnelli and The Mekanism on the label.

Coming from the heart of Bosnia, Solomun is a passionate DJ who certainly knows how to please a crowd and keep the energy on the floor. Equally as talented and creative in the studio, he has many releases to his name on his own label Diynamic, as well as other imprints such as Four:Twenty, liebe*detail and Dessous recordings. Made for the dancefloor, his productions always have an element of funk or surprise, reminding people of the fun that's there to be had with music. As a label with many close ties to mobilee records, Diynamic will be co-hosting a party at mobilee's Sonar 2010 celebrations, which makes it even more fitting that this release brings the two forces more closely together.

Solomun's next big bang, being brought to you via Leena music, is a sure extension of his impeccable production skills and style, and is also one of the most unique releases you will here on the label so far. A-side 'Sisi' opens with a head-spinning explosion of notes and chords, being fired out like sparks in a continual loop. Then half way through the record, they dramatically stop, only to soon build up again and set the roller coaster off once more. B-side 'Talk To The Hand' is a bass-heavy and punchy track, that surprises you with euphoric piano chords in the second half, whilst B2 'Curesto' brings all of the elements together with piano chords, build-ups and some drama. The old school-influenced 'All I See' is an early taste of Anja Schneider's 'SoMe', her first album in nine years.

The track has highlighted sets throughout the summer, from the sun-drenched Off Week in Barcelona, to late nights in Ibiza and bustling dancefloors in New York, St Petersburg and beyond.

Anja Schneider's 'SoMe' will be released on 3 November on Sous Music.
