Saint Is debut on Frankey & Sandrino’s Sum Over Histories label with ‘Something In Common EP’, featuring vocalists like Ukraine’s Sergi Yaro and Argentina’s Juan Hansen. Continuing to develop Sum Over Histories’s successful catalogue of releases by investing in rising talent, Frankey & Sandrino now enlist emerging duo Saint Is who deliver an eclectic four-tracker that draws on and pursues the distinguished musical history of the label’s past releases, following artists like Lazaros, Tlak, Kris Davis, and Impérieux. 

‘Dancing In The Rain ft. Sergi Yaro’ takes a romantic flow with a solid guitar riff, snappy claps, an up-front bassline and Sergi's rough yet vulnerable voice which are all interplay between a melodic transcendence.

Our premiere today - ‘Indana’ - raises the energy with smooth analog kicks, chattering percussion, emotional strings and flirting arp stabs, before ‘Something In Common ft. Juan Hansen’ grabs your attention with stripped back keys, subtle drums, haunting vocal work and an evolving synth-bass pattern. 

Finally, ‘The Phact’ takes a retro-vibe with distorted electric guitars, saturated snares, smooth low-end frequencies and nostalgia effects. 

Saint Is ‘Something In Common EP’ drops on Sum Over Histories on 1st November 2019.

Isolate returns with another supreme set of ‘Mutations’…

Taking off where the inaugural V/A collection left us last September, once again the cosmic message is clear thanks to its corral of exciting forward-thinking international talent. Seven tracks in total, each one tailored for the deepest of excursions, it’s time to mutate…

We take off in Italy as Rome’s Aldebaran commences the collection with ‘Hold Me Down’, a lavish, undulating piece of driving vocal house. It’s backed by another crystalline construction as Jepe follows his beautiful album ‘The Realm’ on Mood Music with the equally stunning ‘Behind Closed Doors’.

Elsewhere Musumeci takes us deep into contemporary Italo territories with the brazenly euphoric ‘Nemesis’, Isolate’s own Alican takes the reigns with the dramatic stampede that is ‘Things That Make No Sense’, Dodi Palese follows his recent Innervisions appearance with an arpeggio thunderstorm ‘Last Destination’ and Orchestra Familiár fuse a hypnotic riff with cowbells, cries and a vibe that cloaks you tightly like a rolling mountain top fog.

Finally Lehar dusts off his bass guitar for an appropriately mystical crescendo ‘Route 55’. Big twang dreams to loosen those brain seams, we started this trip in Italy and here is where we finish it.

grace, and emotions from the backdrop and in, Bajar is a labyrinth of dystopic streets
and jaded byways, hardened by a steady currents of metallic sounds and industrial
