Five years on from its original release, ‘In Control’ returns to Sondela Recordings in a powerful new form, remixed by Greek heavyweight Liva K. As the first official remix of one of Sondela’s earliest releases, this moment marks both a celebration of the label’s journey and a meeting of kindred musical spirits. Karyendasoul remains a cornerstone of the Sondela story, making this reinterpretation feel especially full-circle.

Liva K’s connection to the track runs deep. First discovering ‘In Control’ during Black Coffee’s lockdown “Home Brewed” livestreams, the melody and vocals left a lasting impression and became a staple in his sets. Years later, that emotional link shaped his approach to the remix, with a clear intention to honour the original while pushing it into darker, more forward-leaning territory.

The result is a bold, bass-driven rework that retains the soul of the original while amplifying its impact for modern dancefloors. Striking, immersive, and unapologetically heavy, this remix reaffirms the timelessness of ‘In Control’ while opening a new chapter for a Sondela classic.
