Co-founder of AZZUR Konvex is back on the imprint! As is the custom, they’re delighted to present a remix EP of the tracks that have marked the label’s history in recent months. 

Atsou, head of the Madoraindahouse label, is in charge of remixing ‘Ma Douce,’ while Dr Feel, rising star of the Afro House scene, lends his touch to ‘Never Without Us,’ a track that’s been played around the world.

Polish producer Gruwski's forthcoming EP transcends the mundane, weaving together four exquisitely crafted tracks that explore ethereal landscapes and vivid storylines. "Amaya '' begins the journey, navigating through a celestial valley of delicate chords, nutritive rhythms and fluid undulations. The poignant title track delves into the essence of a divine and tranquil world at the juncture of feeling and imagination. The EP ventures further with "Nyami," where captivating wind elements, tender electronic inflections and quixotic resonance create a ceremonial atmosphere that embodies the spirit of the Zambezi's serpentine deity. "Kaliteyo" plunges into a nocturnal jungle alive with vibrant soundscapes and mystical creatures. Driven by childlike curiosity, the track's hypnotic cadences and shadowy nuances blur the lines between the known and the mythical. She is a DJ, producer, and vocalist who is shaping the global Afro sound. She collaborates once again with fellow scene figurehead Cee ElAssaad, a chart-topping artist known for his versatility and celebrated for his collaborations with artists like Antonio Ocasia and Janne Tavi. 

The magnificent 'Ashambeni' is an almost eight-minute journey into deeply captivating drums and soul-stirring synth craft. The bright sequences loop and rise up through the mix while the spine-tingling vocals are rousing and empowering over organic percussion and moving bass that will sweep up the dance floor.

HMWL Premiere: Hyenah Feat. DJ Tira & Luke Ntombela - Ezizweni (Nitefreak Remix) [Sondela]

After Andhim remixed it last year, Samantha Loveridge now adds her own spin to Blanka Mazimela feat. Korus & Sobantwana's 'Gcwanini'. This is her first return to the label since she collaborated with Lizwi on 'Beka' last year and after her cover of REM's 'Losing My Religion' became a big hit for the Sydney-based rising star. She has played all across the world in recent times and counts the likes of Black Coffee, Jimi Jules, and Rüfüs Du Sol as fans of her work.

Her superb remix brings some signature Afro warmth and house depth to the original. The vocal is a spine-tinging one with smoky soul while the synths keep you on edge as the drums roll on in an uplifting fashion. It is a truly standout track full of character.

Eclectic house duo andhim's remix from back in October is also included. It enriches the soul with the stirring vocals and authentic Afro-house flavours in the percussion and chord work. The rich and atmospheric original closes out this fantastic package.
