We welcome back on our label our A & R of Leisure Music, Mr. Darksidevinyl with this epic Afro House release called Dahabeya. On this EP he teamed up with one of his best Egyptian friends - 'Mizology'.

Dahabeya means golden and is the first track on this EP. Starting it off with a powerful muffled kick and tuned oud strings used as an underlying melodic percussion. Various percussive elements such as bongos und congas are weaved in. A groovy bassline and piano chords open up this golden journey, giving way to a nice synth melody followed by a very nice progression resulting in a lovely Kalimba transition. A positive and upbeat vibe make up the whole track and set the stage for you to open your Afro House set.

The second track is called Watch your Back and takes you in, from the get go, into a deeper more progressive Afro Feeling. A wonderful deep kick and synth progression picks you up to show you the way straight through the jungle. Synth elements from tuned saw stabs and a fast percussion progress this track forward to a mesmerizing break and great build up, resulting in a classic Darkside drop, consisting of strong bass melody and an percussive explosion.

Watch your Back is for your more upbeat Afro House set and can be also used well in any progressive set or waived in in your melodic techno set.

Longtime friends and seasoned DJ/Producers Viktor Martini and Frank Master take us in for a joyride through the coastal city of ‘Maputo.’ Descending into the Mozambican capital at twilight, the Italian duo starts off with ‘Sunset at Maputo.’ In this nocturnal ramble, the climate is tropical and the percussion still feels earthy and raw. But, soothed by a whiff of enticing coolness, poignant chords and euphonic melodies unwind into the night, escorting the sun westward into the horizon.
All eyes on the east as we seize the dawn with Viktor Martini and Frank Master’s daytime orison. ‘Sunrise at Maputo’ celebrates the infallible magical phenomenon that occurs at every break of day with spirited beats, invigorating rhythms and stimulating vocals. Percolated with subtle electronic tweaks and an exquisite melodic overture, this is 7:28 minutes of harmonic solar-powered bliss.

Every year, as the city bids farewell to the grey skies and ice-cold winds of winter, making way for the spring blossom and heatwaves of summer, Kreuzberg's many parks spring to life, with Berliners gathering even on the smallest green spaces to enjoy the sunshine and each other's company. Situated just a stone's throw from Admiralbrücke, Wrangelbrunnen is one of these beloved spots – an impressive late-classical fountain originally built in Tiergarten 150 years ago, which was then moved to Graefekiez, where it now unites the young and old looking for shade and water as temperatures rise. 

As always, music is the common denominator here and Oliver Koletzki delivers the perfect soundtrack with this new release, while Chrisse Kunst renders the visuals.

Alican captures exactly how so many of us have been feeling as the world as we knew it halted to a stop. ‘Reflections’ is a diverse weave of adventures ranging from experimental and deeply emotional tracks to warm club-minded cuts that were tailor made for those 3am dancefloors we’ve missed the most.

“This EP is a reflection of my lockdown times over the past 18 months. I spent a lot of time in the studio, writing new music, dreaming about the days when I used to go on tour, vacations, spending time with my friends and of course the dancefloor!”

Using his time to immerse himself in his music as much as creative juices would allow, this beguiling 6-track trip is one of the many forthcoming results of his isolation.
