The DJ and producer’s E.P. Cry for Kashmir is simultaneously a statement on half-forgotten crises occurring around the world, an optimistic nudge towards global peace, and a testament to the power of art, created on the belief that music can physically affect anything from a human brain down to the structure of a snowflake. Bibacumbe is the title track from another stunning compilation dropping on Sounds of Khemit this Friday. Dandara teams up with the powerful vocalist G Zamora for this melodic and mystic afro-latin cut. 

Sekhmet means nothing less than 'she, who is powerful.' The Egyptian deity is a warrior master, a master of healing and the destroyer of the enemies of the light, and she is the inspiration for the label's fourth thoughtful EP. 

Swiss DJ and producer Dandara and percussionist, singer and student of African rhythm G.Zamora kick off with 'Bibacumbe.' 

They combine European and world influences with 'Bibacumbe,' a deep groove peppered with rolling toms and Spanish vocals, infectious strings and soulful synths. Mexican Tanit is a real fiesta DJ who has landed on the likes of Go Deeva. Her immersive 'Nomus' is an atmospheric roller with an airy mystic melody and rolling rubber drums. It's full of life and intriguing natural motifs that keep you hypnotised. Lastly, the versatile VRuno is a music composer and multi-instrumentalist passionate about organic world music and slow techno.

 He impresses with 'Birds', which has melancholic piano chords draped over the heartfelt drums. It's a heady track with a thoughtful mood that takes you deep into the night. ‘Empowering Sekhmet’ features a trio of escapist and evocative house tracks.

Bar 25 Music is thrilled to announce the return of She Knows with their latest release, "Extraordinary." This EP is a masterful combination of melancholic, playful, and magnetic tracks that are sure to leave a lasting impression.

The EP includes two new tracks, "Extraordinary" and "Twisted and Strange," as well as the previously released single, "Something to Save," which debuted in April 2022 on Bar 25: Zeitgeist. These tracks were produced in She Knows' latest studio in Wilhelmsruh, Berlin, before Marcel's departure to Vitoria at the end of 2021. The tracks were mixed by the incredibly talented Zeno Mainardi, whose contribution was invaluable to the final sound.

This EP showcases She Knows' versatility, with a range of comic and dramatic elements infused throughout the tracks. The result is a collection of songs that are both touching and emotional, with rich textures and powerful melodies.

For Teresa and Marcel, this EP represents the culmination of their musical partnership, as it is the last project they worked on together in their shared studio in Berlin. The EP also features a thrilling collaboration with Ukrainian artist The Organism, who delivers a mesmerizing remix of "Something to Save."

Be sure to keep an eye out for She Knows, as they continue to push the boundaries of music and create timeless momentum that is not to be missed.
