Suicidal forests and aliens disguised in disabled womens bodies are just some examples of Mockinggirls mockingbirds. Inspired by the world around her with a screwed up twist of science fiction and a mysterious perspective of reality, Mockinggirl pictures a society we never even knew existed.

The debut EP “I am the forest" gives the listener an out over the ordinary experience with a mixture of mystical mediated antique tones and dark grievous piano with a touch of dynamic melancholia, while still containing soulful vocals and great hooks.

 
The idea of Mockinggirl was born in the deep forests of Sweden after reading Harper Lee's best-selling novell "To Kill a Mockingbird". A combination of a songbird that simultaneously symbolizes an oppressed forgotten individual, illustrates Mockinggirls post modern pop music and message perfectly. Mockingbirds do not have a melody of their own, but can only mimic other birds, they easily become lost in the crowd and beliefs and opinions of who we think they are covers the truth. Mockinggirl portrays a songbird that changes and turn people's thoughts and prejudices upsidedown by creating a very own song for every neglected and abandoned mockingbird.
