I started DJing in my bedroom in 1992 when I was 13. I could only afford one belt drive deck. I upgraded to Technics 1210s in 1995 when I was 16 and took them to boarding school in England. I then stopped DJing when the CDJs first came out around year 2000 and didn’t buy any more decks until 2018 when I moved to South Africa and got the CDJ2000 Nexus 2s. The passion for Trance and Techno was always there I just hadn’t mixed in a while. Needless to say it all came back very easily after learning on vinyl all those years ago as a kid. I now play at parties and festivals as long as all my friends are there and I’m going to the party anyway. It’s not my job it’s a passion.
