“I worked on these tracks early in 2024,” Luca says, “and spent the summer road-testing them across Europe—clubs, festivals, wherever the music could speak. Luca has graced Moodfamily before, with standout releases and unforgettable appearances on compilations, always hitting the sweet spot. "Solid Gold #1 Hit Records" is a compilation of early Philadelphia garage rock, soul, and pop songs from the 60's and 70's written, produced, and/or performed by Bud Ross. Bud has worked with bands and musicians such as The Asylum, Esko Affair, David Morris, The Brothers Guiding Light, Brothers Two, James Bounty, Charlie Gracie, Tommy Maris and plenty of others, many of whom appear on this album. The majority of this collection were tracks recorded at the legendary Sigma Sound and remastered from the original reel to reels. We'd like to greatly thank our good friend Toby Seay at Drexel University for all his tremendous help.
