"When you go to your stereo and turn on the tunes and all is working well with the speaker wire, then the sound is sweet, crisp and clear. You hear what the artist and producer intended for you to hear — and it’s a good and pleasant thing. 

However, if your speaker wire has a short in it, if it’s frazzled by a fray, then things might not go so well, and a clear connection could be lost. 

There are moments when that frayed wire may be in the perfectly placed position to still allow really solid sound to pass through. In that moment, the music is coming through loud and clear and you get to enjoy the groove. 

But then something shifts — even just a little, and suddenly that worn wire produces static (and maybe even sparks). The music’s still there, but with it is another competing noise — a sharp and crepitating noise — a noise that’s taken something pleasant and made it painful. 

All of a sudden something shifts again, and everything has gone from simple static to overwhelming and excruciating white noise. In the chaotic cacophony you find yourself reaching for the volume control in order to mute the mess because it hurts. 

Then things shift once more and the frayed wire is now in a position where nothing’s getting through. The connection has been lost and all is silent. The stereo itself is still making a melody, but that melody is trapped inside the machine and unknown to anyone on the outside."

Continuing on from a series of successful EPs on Token including last year’s Ostinato, Antigone returns to the label with Rising, his first experiment with the LP format. Rising is an album that exerts itself to stimulate the mind and the body simultaneously. As such, it’s a record that gives the dramatic illusion of having a physical pulse.

The artist, real name Antonin Jeanson, already has a substantial body of work behind him. Considering his previous releases on Token, Indigo Aera, Concrete Music and Taapion, and his experience as a resident at Concrete in Paris, the level of artistic maturity he possesses while still being under 30 is highly impressive yet unsurprising at the same time.

For Rising, Antigone manages to oscillate between great ambient introspections carried by spacey synths and deconstructed rhythms, and elegant techno epics that are suitable for listening pleasure as much as for the pure abandonment of reality.

The title track’s delicate arpeggios meld into strings with stirring cadences, delivering above and beyond the standard intro, as it breaks and continues for a second round with added depth. Sands of Time stands out with tiny, breathy samples, pitch bent into something ever different from the last. Lost and Found’s granulated percussion sits adjacent to a cinematic sea of strings, while Out There provides a tasteful fragment of the sci-fi reverence many listeners demand of a techno album. Duality of Mind hints once again at the measured moods of Cantor Dust, his Token debut EP. It Follows alludes to supernatural horror with call-and-response variants on an almost microtonal theme. Infinite Limit’s tension from the offset brings a UK-influenced sound to the record, which continues with the IDM-feeling Dume and the equally glitchy and pulsing Love Field, while the in-between Irreversible is an immersive piece with a piercing high-end, guaranteed to induce a physical sensory response.

Wlderz is a techno project created in 2017 by Cyril and Jérémy, two Parisians guys respectively Djs and producers since the end of the 90's. 

Inspired by many artists of all kind, in their production as on Stage, they love to tell a journey and making travel their listeners between Industrial tones, effective rhythms and hypnotic melodies.

Considered for their DJ set heights of energy, Wlderz also feel comfortable on live act, in which they play their own tracks live, with an Acid Touch.

Previously known under their first Alias, “The Welderz”, after many gigs and releases from 2012 until 2016, Cyril and Jérémy decides to slow down voluntarily the rate of works.

They decided to begin an artistic change of direction, which corresponds to the feelings, which they feel and want to pass on. 
This calm of a year being able to be similar to a break was not one. They created many of new tracks in studio.

This desire for break and for a new start, also involves the evolution of their name “The Welderz” into “WLDERZ”. 
A beautiful mix of Techno and Electronica, full of sensations, energy and authentic feelings.
