Excerpt of sound composition for installation “Paradiesplatz – Das Innere” in Dresden (24.09. until 6.11.2022).

On the Terrassenufer, the Elbe promenade in Dresden and directly opposite the Ministry of the Interior, simple color and structural interventions transform an existing, rather neglected place into the first paradise square in Dresden. Gilded benches, an audio installation, conversations with passers-by and regular performances invite reflection and exchange about what we hoard, preserve and secure and why, and what is desirable or conceivable as an ideal state in terms of prosperity, memory, security and seed.

Die Modedesignerin Bettina Kletzsch besucht mit dem Künstler Konrad Behr den Wochenmarkt in Bischofswerda. Auf den Spuren der Geschichte der Familie Kletzsch, beobachten und kommentieren sie das Markttreiben und kommen mit den Menschen ins Gespräch.
Sie werden überrascht von detaillierten Beschreibungen der Kleidung die damals im Modehaus Kletzsch gekauft wurden – tauchen ein in Erinnerungen an Campingurlaube und bieten handgeschnitzte Socken aus dem Erzgebirge zum Verkauf an.

Kletzsch studied fashion at the University of Applied Sciences in Bielefeld. Her great-great-grandfather, master tailor Gottlieb Heinrich Kletzsch founded the clothing company Kletzsch & Sohn in Bischofswerda i. Sa. in 1847. Until 1969 it was a clothing store for ladies and men’s outerwear in three generations. 1969 -1991, a HO sales outlet for toys and sewing machines.
From 1991 your parents ran a toy store in the same shop, until 2016.
Their designs combine the tradition of playing with the long family history of clothing.
