We are proud to present a recording from the archives of Romanian artist Dan Andrei, and this recording is worth the wait. A name that is synonymous with high-grade electronic music in all its many forms, his work behind in the DJ booth is matched by few, as every set results in a truly mind-expanding journey. A constant in the [a:rpia:r] core setup, he has been at the centre of the Romanian minimal community since he decided on his chosen path. This meant that he quickly outgrew his homeland and was then called upon to soundtrack the world's best parties with a constant touring schedule that has taken him near and far. MINIMALISM 017: Beckhauser (All Productions Mix)

This special edition of the Fratii.ro Podcast was born in the quiet hills of Ojai, California — a place where creativity flowed effortlessly between two minds connected by music. What began with a message of appreciation turned into a strong friendship and artistic synergy.

LOS, a dedicated producer/Dj currently residing in California’s Ojai region, a place he describes as a vortex, and Beckhäuser; founder of fratii.ro Records, a man who needs no introduction—first connected through a mutual desire and appreciation of the mystery and vast world within minimal sound. Their connection bloomed into a mentorship and friendship that both have found to be infinite. Finally meeting in May of 2025,  they dove head first into a week long immersion in studio sessions—producing hypnotic grooves and dark-tinged rhythms.

This set is a full journey of our own productions and collaborations — deep, rolling, and rhythmically charged. A true reflection of friendship turned into sound.

When Radial Gaze meets Nicola Kubebe, the result is Iron Pinky Toad — a title that sounds either like a secret kung-fu move or a lost cartoon book. But don’t be fooled — this one hits hard.


The long-awaited collab brings three original tracks — Phantom Limb, Lights of Phoenix and the title cut Iron Pinky Toad — that effortlessly bridge the gap between slow-burning tribal techno and the raw pulse of new beat nested into an early techno nutshell. Imagine dancing barefoot in a ritual under a disco eclipse — you’re getting close.

To seal the record, Playground Records boss Martin Noise steps in alongside rising sensation Anastasia Zems, pushing the release into full-blown dancefloor sorcery. The groove is deep, the bass is sweaty, and the toad… well, the toad is on fire !

Dropping Friday, July 18, 2025, via THISBE Recordings — available on vinyl and digital. Spin it, stream it, or whisper its name into the smoke at 3AM — either way, the dancefloor won’t know what hit it.

It’s twins! Following the birth of his first child, and a failed (yet noble) bid for the Papacy, Bawrut returns with Papa Bawrut Part 2, the second holy chapter in his ongoing musical sermon. While fatherhood may have brought sleepless nights, it’s also delivered wild inspiration, with this EP offering up a brace of fearless, genre-defying cuts.

Leading the release is La Notte, a creative late-night jam inspired by an hypnotic performance of “Klan” by Italian pop star Mahmood. “I had forgotten how amazing the the repetition of ‘La Notte’ sounded, so I used it as the foundation for the track,” Bawrut explains. “Because when do we all come together to dance? La Notte, of course.”

Next up is Vibracall, a bold middle finger to lazy nostalgia. “A lot of club music today sounds like it’s stuck in the year 2000,” says Bawrut. “If I’m going to use the past, I want something iconic.” Enter: the vibration tone from the first-gen cell phones. Reimagined, repurposed, and flipped.

Closing the EP is a deeper, darker reinterpretation of La Notte from Irish producer and friend Hammer. With bubbling synths, ghostly vocal textures, and precise percussion, it adds a moody exhale to Bawrut’s high-energy offering.

Papa Bawrut Part 2 is untamed, unpredictable, and undeniably him.

"Ah si si" is a blend of EBM and italo disco, where taut grooves flirt with a bittersweet melancholy tinged with 80s hues. At once an invitation to dance and an introspective dive, the track plays with contrasts — between rhythmic tension and nostalgia.

The voice, sensual and slightly enigmatic, acts as a guiding thread: it ties the influences together, blurs the lines, and gives the whole piece a cohesion that makes it effortlessly ready for the dancefloor.
The italo disco elements are a deliberate nod to Camilliani’s Italian roots and his deep attachment to that musical culture.


Camilliani is no newcomer. In 2007, he made his debut with Pervert Teen, an electro EP released under the name Chairs on Backs, a duo with Yan Wagner on the Missive label. Two years later, he went solo with Fucking Day, a more radical techno EP under the alias Swaan, on Estrella Rec.

After a long hiatus, he returns under a new identity, Camilliani, and unveils Ah si si, his third project.

The morning was crisp and clear. The Hague was only just beginning to stir, but someone had already found their rhythm. Plate had a list of addresses saved in his notes — potential spots for their future vinyl store. Real plans, of course, called for a bit of luck and beautiful views: linden trees whispering along the canals, a sea breeze full of encouragement, distant seagull calls, and the soft clang of trams.

First stop: Denneweg — a street that felt like a page from a design magazine, nothing but showrooms, galleries, antiques, and wine. A realtor in a light shirt was already waiting by the door of a former barbershop: a clean rectangular space with high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows. Great foot traffic. A storefront that seemed to come alive in front of the observer’s eyes. Plate could already hear the music playing, see visitors flipping through records in search of something unique.

Next came Papestraat — louder, and somehow closer to heart. A three-story building next to the city’s best coffee spot. Until recently, it had housed a small shop of handmade goods. It was the kind of place you could work, drink tea, and build a little corner lined with shelves and turntables in. The classic Dutch staircase alone was enough to inspire joy.

The day hadn’t gone in vain. Plate came home with photos of two key locations. One looked like an album cover, the other like a B-side you want to play over and over again. Needle smiled at what she saw. Somewhere between those two streets, their next chapter was quietly going underway.

Physically unreleased material from the years 1989 and 1990. All songs composed, performed, and produced by Stephen Ugo Rosin. Heaven and Satan is recorded in 1990 using an Akai MG1214 12-track 1/2” tape recording console. The Ultimate Om, Soul to Soul, and Family Values were recorded in 1989 on a TASCAM 244 cassette porta-studio. Original mixes were to VHS-HiFi, with those recordings digitally remastered in 2001.

Modeight proudly adds another chapter to its vinyl legacy with Fedo - a Ukrainian artist with deep Greek roots, known for his meditative groove architecture, percussive depth, and the raw spirit of live music.

On Nuke Hook EP, Fedo delivers four deep and dynamic cuts that strike a perfect balance between minimalistic precision and emotional richness. Each track feels lived-in - jammed rather than programmed - crafted to resonate both on the dancefloor and in the mind.

“Life is Life” opens with a thick, dubby beat and a jagged, growling bassline. Midrange sequences curl around the low-end like vapor trails, creating a shadowy, hypnotic space built for late hours and strobe-lit intimacy.
“Madam from Athens” pays homage to his Hellenic roots - dipping into dreamy chords, textured atmospheres, and modular motifs wrapped in velvety vocals. Warm and transportive, it’s a love letter to place and memory.
On the flip, “After Out” hits hard. Sub-heavy, percussive, and driven by acidic synth lines, it’s a peak-time weapon that doesn’t ask - it commands.
Rounding off the EP is the cerebral yet groovy “Nuke Hook,” where crisp percussion dances around mysterious piano phrases and immersive textures. A subtle but magnetic closer that lingers long after the drop.

Fedo joins the Modeight family with a statement of intent - deep, expressive, and forged in the heart of the underground. The journey continues.
