David Delarre is a musician, composer and music educator. Through his work with the award winning singer Eliza Carthy MBE, Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel and Steve Knightley (Show of Hands), David has performed at a number of high profile venues across the UK and Europe. He has recently recorded sessions for BBC Radio 2, 3 and 4 and has also performed on BBC 1 for Jools Holland and BBC 1 Breakfast TV. His theatre credits include The Globe’s production of ’The Two Noble Kinsman’ and the Tony Award nominated Broadway musical ‘Hadestown’.

At 14, early trance anthems absolutely blew my mind – those soaring melodies, the rush of the build… I was hooked. Then high school hit and I was surrounded by the UK garage scene – all that swing, soul, and bass. By 16 I was spinning as Damo Walsh in Essex and London clubs, learning every night.

At 19 I landed in Mallorca (2005–06), then Ibiza in 2007, and Marbella from 2009–2012. Back then I’d do 2 to 5 gigs every weekend in the UK, driving myself to every one – no drinking, just pure love for the music and seeing people light up on the floor.

Pirate radio was my playground. From 2004–2008 as Hype Da Funk on Lush FM and Renegade FM, I’d mix garage fire with filtered house and just share what kept me up at night.

In 2012 I started Deeper Love – a night built on warmth, proper tunes, and good people. It became a real thing in Essex and London… and yeah, we haven’t done one in a while, but I’d love to bring it back.

Under DARE ME, I made raw UK house with that UKG heart. Hearing Fedde Le Grand, DJ EZ, Roger Sanchez, Low Steppa, Shapeshifters, and Kiss FM play my tracks? Still gives me goosebumps. I still drop the odd one now and then.

Now it’s D6MO – deep, melodic, emotive, uplifting. Every tune carries a memory of a sunrise set, a long drive home, or a packed room singing along. Support from BBC Introducing, Laidback Luke, and Judge Jules means everything… but the real magic is still that moment when someone closes their eyes and smiles at the drop.
