Russia’s Yulia Niko joins Jamie Jone’s Hottrax imprint this September with two rhythmic cuts entitled ‘Cheap Story’.

Kick-starting her career in Sochi, Russia, Niko’s formative years were on the East Coast as a resident at New York’s Verboten and Miami’s Heart Nightclub. Now based in Berlin, Niko’s releases have appeared on Get Physical, Natura Viva and MATTER+, not to mention her own vinyl-only TochnoTechno imprint. She now joins the Hottrax roster with ‘Cheap Story’, demonstrating her infectious and intricate sound that’s garnered support from the likes of Carlo Lio, Paco Osuna and Marco Carola.

‘Cheap Story’ sets the tone of the package with robust drums and a filtered 303 bass groove that unfolds throughout as cosmic chord progressions and distorted spoken word samples build tension. Up next, organic percussion, a thumping kick and muffled vocals are delivered alongside acidic synth sequences and crunchy drones, generating a high-octane conclusion.

Seven years of active production, he is definitely one of those who raised the Albanian music scene to a higher level. This is not his first appearance on our label. In 2017, he released a single in collaboration with Jorgio Kioris, entitled "Crossing The Line". Three years after Da Luka returns to the label with two new singles accompanied by fantastic remixes by Erdi Irmak and East Cafe! Definitely something that everyone who loves deep and progressive sounds, must listen to the release of "Libra"!

We can say for sure that the Spanish producer Th Moy cultivates a unique style of music that he puts on the stage. It's been almost a year since he signed his first EP for our label, and it was time for "Alchemist" to get his remix edition. Five remixers, one original for each, one assignment for each. At the remix edition we had the opportunity to enjoy the works of artists such as, Ewan Rill, dub.format, Adam Nathan, Silar and Bojan B! Each remix has its own unique stamp, from deep notes to progressive ones.

Definitely the most suitable ground, which every year throws out a lot of talented producers of progressive house music, is Argentina. Another producer, who comes to us from Argentina, and thus strengthens our ranks of Argentine producers on our label, is Govinda. Govinda has prepared a beautiful song for us, in collaboration with Loli Alvarez, called "Meloir"! In addition to the original, the release is completed by two beautiful remixes. The first remix was a job for Colombian producer Jonnas B, for whom this is also a debut appearance on our label. Modeplex, a DJ and techno producer hailing from southern Germany, grew up in a musical environment. His real name is Dave, and he was constantly immersed in a world of instruments, music, and records from a young age. In his twenties, Dave began organizing events and networking with promoters and booking agents.

His approach to music composition is unique, blending various musical genres and influences to craft a distinctive mix of techno and deep house. Modeplex draws creative inspiration from personal life experiences, past events, and future aspirations.
