Berlin-based Colombian artist Brayan Valenzuela continues to expand into the realms of brutal and industrial techno fueled by a fervour towards analogue hardware on his latest release. 
‘LLMM’ continues the upfront techno journey with saturated bass drums, cantering rides, a half-time atmospheric break and tight hi-hats. 
Finally, French producer, live performer and HANDS artist Crystal Geometry provides an otherworldly remix which shudders with white noise crunches, rhythmic subs, distorted high frequency crashes and a bubbling acidic synth line.

These tracks are what they are, and they sound like they sound. because they were made in a time and place, where it wasn’t possible to make them ‘perfect’, because right now, our perfect globalized western world is in a state of non perfection.

I want this EP to represent; right now, and I want people to have as much art and joy, to fill these days with as possible.

I won’t put the tracks up for sale before this pandemic has ended, because - right now, the most important this to do is to share joy. 

Once this is over, I will put the tracks through the whole industry standard of post production and make sure they are eligible for club use. For now that is not important.

After nearly a year of work since our last VA, we can finally announce our second various artists compilation, VKVA002.

The VA is another huge compilation with all of our favourite artists along with tracks from 4 of our residents and just like last time, we’ll be donating half of the proceeds to Ayrshire Samaritans - a local mental health charity who was greatly appreciative of our last donation and deserves the help more than anything.

This is the first of three parts of the compilation.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from The Dag. “Two Faces” comes off the new EP, Surge Protection, which is also the first release on the artist’s eponymous label. Exploring the nature of relationships. the track reflect the remnants of their aftermath - whether it be joy and happiness or misery and grief. Over the past couple years, The Dag has developed a crushing yet melancholic sound which pulls from techno, industrial, trance and more. Surge Protection is an outstanding first entry to The Dag Records and puts her powerful and cerebral message on full display.

Our next contribution is by a mixer who never disappoints -  @magnuscc 

Born in south of Sweden – based in Stockholm since 1991. He has been collecting records/music since early eighties – experimental, synth, industry as well as electronic dance music. Over the years, different genres and styles have passed by, but electronic music with hard driven beats have always been close to heart. During the past years he has shared his interest in techno and has been playing at various venues/events (you might recognize him from his fire set at our first BИКЯ party).
