remarkably survived to the present day, shedding light on the empire's sophisticated artistic practices.
These colors, created using natural pigments and advanced preparation techniques, reflect a profound
understanding of materials and their preservation. Through these hues, we can glimpse the vibrant,
cosmopolitan life of the empire, where trade networks brought dyes and pigments from geographically
distant locations. The vivid imagery reveals cultural exchanges and the syncretism that defined
Vijayanagara’s artistic and social ethos, making these paintings a window into a thriving and diverse
world.
