Back from a book
Immaculate contraception
By way of the crazies

About their last voyage

Their pseudo-metaphors
Shouting nonsense
From the top of the schooners

Distant Memory

It’s not healing. It’s anesthesia. The scars no longer speak, but they cry out softly. “No more pain” is a prayer shouted into the void, a mantra to not collapse, a fist against the glass. There is no peace — only resistance. And this is the soundtrack of the fight.
