The fiftieth edition of PHANTASYMIX arrives courtesy of our most recent signing, Factory Floor. Mixed and curated by both Nik Colk Void alongside long-term label associate Gabe Gurnsey, as well as new member Joe Ward, this momentous contribution to the label’s long-running series captures and combines many of the cult British band’s core influences, spanning New Order to Dean Blunt, Sandwell District, Drexciya and The Fall. Loaded with the band’s experimental, outsider spirit it’s a fine hour of physical, potent outsider music, including their recent single on Phantasy, ‘Between You’.

PHANTASYMIX 50: Factory Floor

A quarter-century after its original release, another gem from Carl Craig's extensive back catalogue is released digitally for the first time as part of the soundtrack to Jean-Cosme Delaloye's film Desire: The Carl Craig Story.

'The Truth', originally released as the B-side to Problemz in 2000, is a deep cut from Craig's archive re-edited & remastered for 2025. It captures the iconic Detroit techno producer in the meditative mode associated with his 69 classics 'Desire' and 'At Les'.

Its release teases the forthcoming soundtrack album where it features alongside the recently reissued classic 'No More Words' and Craig's Grammy-nominated Junior Boys remix, as well as other essential tracks from the Craig discography.

Some Kind of Paradise draws deep inspiration from 90s trip hop, downtempo, and electronica, weaving in layered melodies, textured guitar work, and, for the first time, vocals from Morris himself. With its blend of hypnotic rhythms, rich instrumentation, and introspective atmospheres, Some Kind of Paradise invites listeners to lose themselves in a vivid, genre-blurring musical journey.

Whilst much of the attention around Kate Stein & Lord Fascinator's Primary EP has focused on the raucous cowboy disco of Horse House and Asteroid's festival ready joyful melodies, it's time for the EP's closer, Le Petit Martien to get its moment in the strobe light courtesy of a new remix from Mehmet Aslan and with its intergalactic western vibe and Morricone'esque guitar twangs Le Petit Martien is a perfect track for the eclectic Swiss-Turkish producer to work with.

Having made his name with imaginative fusions of electronic, ambient, experimental and folk music, all of that is again on display here as Aslan pairs the original's western aesthetics with a disorientating beat and a writhing acidic melody that snakes its way through the song. Hypnotic and disarming effect in equal measure, it's the ideal track to reach for when the club is ready to get a little a little deeper and a lot weirder.

Next up on Mister T. Records: Baila, the debut EP from Brazilian DJ and producer PH Menezes.

MTT is glad to present their new two-tracker rooted in rhythmic exploration. Baila captures the essence of Menezes’ eclectic taste and sampling flair. The title track leans on irresistible horn riffs and layered percussion to build an atmospheric groove, while “Serginho” delivers raw energy through Spanish vocals and a proto-house bassline, an exciting blend that hints at what's to come from this emerging artist.
This release also marks an important step for Mister T. Records in its commitment to showcasing the richness of Brazilian music. After a series of edits paying tribute to its rhythms and textures, Baila represents a new phase: supporting original productions and rising talents from the scene itself.
