While we were recovering at a pool in Thailand from a heavy night dj'ing, we got a message from Norman, asking us to remix his track Filtré. And he needed it yesterday. So we fired up our laptop and started throwing beats together. Within a few hours we had a nice sketch we would play that night to test if we were on the right track with this one. It turned out we were. The crowd seemed to love our minimal approach so much (much jumping around, sweating, lots of trainspotters around our cdj's, fluffy teddy bears thrown at us, etc.) that we decided only to do some minor tweaks and leave it as it was. Early support by Axwell, Dirty South, Otto Knows, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike.

Standard Fair was born in 1980 in Sapporo, Japan. He played the bass in a punk band until he was 20, weekends were regularly spent in clubs such as Preｃious Hall. He has been making tracks and DJing since 2000.

He produces elegant and sophisticated deep house, releasing tracks on Resopal, Little Helpers and many other labels.

Funky Business isn't just ANY mixtape, it is filled with a great selection of Nu-disco tracks with samples throughout the mix and entirely made by CAAST. The mixtape ends with an old song or a remix of an old stuff.
