Type G Audio are dedicated to bringing you

dancefloor-focused music. The roster of
talent they have is second to none, with
names like Cabbie, Decimal Bass and
Ironlung all contributing to the label.
Now it's the turn of Monotype, a producer and DJ who’s found success with Double UV Recordings and
Young Guns Recordings as well as Type G. His music has been supported by the likes of Logan D, Highroller,
Escape, Coda, Elegance, Klip & Outlaw, Complex, G Type and more.


Monotype provides The Killer, remixed by Modified Motion
and Faction. The transatlantic production duo have swiftly
become one of the go-to names for the UK underground,
their sound always brings out the best in everything they
touch. Monotype, Modified Motion and Faction and Type G
Audio truly is a Killer combination.
The tune begins in dramatic fashion, with an orchestral
sample slowly building, before the beats start skyrocketing
in. The remixers have taken the tune and added their own
touches, without it losing anything from the original. They
add layers of flavour, teasing out elements which
otherwise'd be missed.
The drop is massive, revealing echoing bass and mighty low end frequencies. The tune builds again, with
lots of work being done in the background, as MM & F let it all hang out. Headnodding kicks and layers of
funk dominate, as we're in for another surprise soon. After a brief lift, the cataclysmic second drop occurs.
This one's even more furious as the first, with sharpened drums and even harder bass.
They maintain these levels throughout, reinforcing the message of The Killer and leaving the dancefloors
slayed. Type G Audio have a masterpiece right here, and you'll be hearing a hell of a lot of The Killer. One
of the remixes of the year so far…

As a team Modified Motion and Faction have been making waves in the drum and bass scene for quite some time now, their tunes are always certified dancefloor bangers, always hitting the top spots in the D&B download charts, and regularly gaining airplay from the likes of Grooverider, Hazard, Majistrate to name a few.

One of their most recognisable tracks to date has been the huge 2 Bags Of Grass, a funky swing beat number that gained anthem status at Innovation In The Sun & In The Dam parties last the year when it was released, and this is your chance to give it a remix!

The producer who submits the winning entry will win a day in the studio with him at Modified Motion's central London studio to learn tips, tricks and maybe some of Modi's inside production secrets!! It will also be released as part of a forthcoming Modified Motion & Faction EP on Dynamic Audio.
