First up is the man @SQUIRCULUS  -  A soon to be household name, is the badman DJ hailing from shady Deland, FL responsible for co-founding Orlando's premier niche club nights Affiliate and Depth Charge. With over 50 years in the mix, he has had the opportunity, nay, the HONOUR to open up for legends such as @OmUnit, @Machinedrum, DJ Music, @maladmz, @fixate_uk, Acid Cat, @ClydeAvery, and others.  Whether he's dropping names or dropping beats, this eclectic vinyl connoisseur will be dropping something soon in a town near you.

This is an all vinyl mix for the heads, and for those who like their dubstep deep.

He's graced the Modūl 004 event with a killer performance and has been a part of the monthly back when it was originally called 'Drum & Bass Night'.  This killer mix blends through the full spectrum of drum and bass, from deep grooving halftime to gun-finger rollers.

In April 2021, Auraz fka Goldfinger created the Moving Futures Music imprint manifesting a sound distinctly inspired by Florida's landscape. Blending the sound of the soothing ocean, tropical fauna and vibrant cities into an emotional, bass heavy sonic palette with a conscious vibe.

Modūl Mix 003 comes to us from the man XMSN, who's been a fixture in the Jacksonville Drum & bass scene.   He threw down a wicked set to much praise back in April 2021 at our Drum & Bass Night event (before it was called Modūl).  This mix is a perfect representation of the energy Chris brings to the shows when he's on the decks at either his Invasive Ceremonies events, live stream channel, Modūl, or anywhere else.  Welcome to the mix XMSN.

XMSN made is first appearance DJing in 2015 at his weekly Drum and Bass event called ‘Worknight Sessions’ which ran for over a year.  He’s been a fixture in the Jacksonville D&B scene in many ways, whether it’s throwing the event himself or helping support and back other local events through promotions.  He also created a live stream called ‘Invasive TV’ in an effort to help promote local talent.  Sharing in the same, he recently founded Invasive Ceremonies which is a live event aimed at promoting multi genre DJs and local art.  Give XMSN a follow and check out his social links below.

Sliding in with his Debut Release, Mexican native, AIOKAI will put you through the ringer with this monstrous bass heavy EP laced with BADMAN riddims. Also featuring //DarkMode’s SubFILLA with a DnB remix, this EP is not one for the faint hearted.

Spiders Under My Skin is about chronic anxiety attacks that cause insomnia and psychogenic itch.

About Aiokai
Aiokai is a drum & bass and dubstep producer from Mexico. He also likes to explore other genres like uk garage, future garage, breakbeat, breakbeat hardcore and juke/footwork. His DJ Sets are known to have a constant flux, altering the mood depending on what’s happening on the dance floor, never switching genres without accounting for structure, vibes, and groove. He is known for being an important part of the Mexican junglist scene.

He has played in Italy, Croatia and England and alongside artists such as DJ Marky, MC Fava, Run Tingz, Calculon and more. He considers that working at the Outlook Festival in 2018 and 2019 has given him a rich taste in multiple music genres. He is also a music production, sound design and sound engineering teacher. Aiokai works as a music promoter with multiple agencies such as Jungle Empire, BLDSMX and TLILTIC. In the last two, he also manages and does A&R for their respective record labels. He also works as a music writer, interviewer and curator in TLILTIC Radio, an online electronic music magazine and platform.

We're absolutely stoked to present Modūl Mix 004, which comes to us from the man Re:Son.  A true veteran of turntablism, wrapped into a long time love affair with hip-hop and drum and bass, Grath's style is that of true a craftsman.  Welcome to the mix Re:Son.

This is Garth- aka Re:Son

I grew up in a musical family and I started playing drums when i was about 6. My parents got me a little toy drum set for Christmas. I loved it. I wore it out. Because my parents both played in a band, there was access to a real drum set, so I started practicing pretty regularly.

As a kid in the 80s, hip hop was everywhere. A lot of the songs were sample-based, so it was real drums in the breaks. I practiced playing drums a lot by playing along to the songs with drum breaks. I had Mahogany down cold. Drum sounds in general always caught my attention. 

I started college in 1993 and clubs were starting to book more DJs and electronic acts. Seeing a DJ spin records was another immediate hook, like drums. There was also so much new music coming out, and, again, the songs with breaks were the stand outs. Faster breakbeat and then chopped-up amen breaks. More. 

And bass. Low bass. Punchy bass. Weird wobbly bass. Loud, disgruntled bass.

I had a roommate the summer of ’96 and he had turntables. I got on one day and was in immediately. Drumming really helped timing and counting measures. 

I started buying records that summer and got my own pair of 1200s not too long after. We had a solid record shop in Tallahassee (Vinyl Fever), and the guys ordering records were DJs, too, so there were some great records coming around. I played consistently in Tallahassee, FL and regionally for a while as EKO21.

I finished up school and moved to Jacksonville in '99. Me and future wife didn’t really go out a lot for a while, but I do remember seeing Roni Size and the full Represent band at Plush around 2000. Really dope show. Ask Jeff about it sometime. He was there. He seent it!

I kept buying records. Kept practicing. Started seeing the march of time moving away from vinyl, but with options. Started using Re:Son- my middle name is Reese- It’s Reese, son.

So, now I’m the old dude at the club. Fuck. But I still like spinning. And technology has made everything 1000% more dope and fun.

DnB music also seems to be going through a really dope time, too. It’s funny to see people talk about it as next big thing about to blow up.

It’s really the end result of everything.

It’s a beautiful melody that plane-crashes into the side of a mountain. It’s meticulous precision coupled with drippy soul.

The sparse. The thick. Relentless and effervescent. Absolute disgust with a spritz of lemon. Beauty. I love beats and bass. I love DnB!

Mr. Solve came through swingin' with a monster of a mix featuring 44 tunes in 49 minutes. We are hyped to get the mastermind behind Subduction Audio, Disorderly Conduct Radio and Portland's DNB Happy Hour through for a guest mix that is sizzling hot! 

Longtime selector and promoter of all things drum and bass, this dj/producer/promoter just celebrated 500 episodes of his weekly internet radio show, Disorderly Conduct Radio on dnbradio.com. Based in Portland Oregon, in 2016 started a drum and bass crew that  brings national/international headliners to Portland, over 100 episodes of a podcast that features USA based djs and is available for download on Apple Music, and a YouTube channel that features mostly local Pacific Northwest djs in live settings.

From his past time in recording studios as mix engineer to the his most recent venture to the decks, his sets weave through both DnB and hip-hop seamlessly. What’s good!? It’s your boy, Jose, aka iLLSiC. I was born in Managua, Nicaragua and I immigrated to the United States at a young age. I lived in Jacksonville, Florida the majority of my life and Southern hip hop had a huge influence on me. 

In high school I started making beats for the homies to rap over and throughout the years taught myself the basics on a keyboard and drums. I eventually took courses to learn music theory, recording and mixing techniques. 

I was lucky enough to intern at a few recording studios and learned basic front of the house engineering for live performances. However, most of my time was spent recording and mixing in a professional studio. After the internships, I worked freelance at a few recording studios and spent 6 years working in radio broadcasting as a producer and board operator. 

In 2020 I started DJing with a couple of friends. Later that year I bought a XDJ-RX2 and I have been DJing ever since. I started with hip hop tracks but eventually got into drum and bass. So far, every DJing gig I’ve had was promoted as a drum and bass/bass music gig, so I think I’m a drum and bass DJ now. ☺

The Capetonian producer Dopplershift is back to 4NC¥ //DarkMode with some 140 madness. It is easy to say that this is the heaviest and darkest release on the label yet, it brings a certain level of insanity to the table, turning everything upside down. ‘Pull Up’ makes us feel like we didn’t know the definition of distortion before, it is shadowy as it gets, with a big metallic snare drum to keep us hypnotized and a bassline so evil it makes it difficult not to love this tune

De Champeaux compares the Cloister with the Heavenly Jerusalem: In the space where four paths meet, is a well, a tree, a column to mark the navel or center of the world. Through it passes the world axis, that spiritual ladder with it's foot in the darkness below. 

The cloister is also a cosmic center in respect to the three levels of the universe of the underworld by virtue of the well, of the surface of the globe and of the celestial world through the tree, the rose bush, column or cross.
Furthermore, it's square or rectangular (monolith) shape, open to the vault of Heaven, is the image of the marriage of Earth/Heart and Heaven.

The Cloister is the symbol of intimacy with the Godhead.
