George Apergis aka EMEX is one of the pioneers of the Hellenic Electronic Dance Scene and the owner of Modular Expansion, which has been recognized by the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and the Municipality of Athens for its actions, including vinyl releases, art videos, and publishing events. He is also a European Design Award holder in the category Music & Films Covers. George Apergis is an established artist, label manager, and event organizer, with a career spanning years in Athens and Berlin. George Apergis plays DJ sets exclusively with vinyl and has performed in numerous European cities and famous venues such as Berghain, Tresor, Renate, Suicide, Sisyphos in Berlin, as well as in London, Rome, Barcelona, Sofia, Warsaw, Moscow, Tel Aviv, and the most prestigious venues in Athens. His releases “Quelle”, “Ekhowax”, “Waxtrax” and “Retrograde” on Modular Expansion were highly successful. He has also released music on labels such as Bellboy, unGleich, Omega Audio, Audio Therapy, Sabotage, Paranoid Dancer, In Fact, and Made of Concrete alongside his close friend Alexander Kowalski. In 2014, he created the EMEX project, which has seen numerous releases on labels such as Modular Expansion, Etruria Beat, Credo, Denude, SYXT, and Konsequent. In 2015, he released “00110001” with the support of KORG, which won the Silver Award at the European Design Awards. He also has two releases, “Hyperion” and “Cluster of Time”, with his Berlin-based friends at studio416. In 2022, he released “Hi'iaka” and in 2023 “Touch Infinity”, both supported by artistic video clips and backed by the Hellenic Ministry of Culture. The first single to be taken from Slam’s truly astounding upcoming album ‘Reverse Proceed’ sees the hypnotic Pattern A3 alongside some of Techno’s biggest and brightest new stars adding their own versions also.

Slam have chosen one of the major standout tracks from Reverse Proceed to set the tone prior to the album’s full release in late October. With the album built around the concept of varying sequences, it’s fitting that the first single be given such an apt name. Taken directly form the Cirklon sequencer pattern that helped design the track Pattern A3 features heavily modulating synths that seems to have a fully organic life of their own set against the typical backdrop of 909 drums. 

Following on from Slam’s original, Soma have enlisted the help of 3 of the label’s favourite contemporary Techno artists. Argentina’s Jonas Kopp is first up on remix duties and deliver an absolute pile-driver of a remix with his signature thudding drums and machine-gun like percussion firing rapidly against subtle and stripped synth elements.
 
Swedish based Bleak is a very welcome addition to this package as he offers his own ‘Modular Interpretation’. Heavy sub bass and intelligent drum work outs combine with yet more subtle hints of the original’s synth elements to give a more deep and introspective version. 

Rounding off the EP is latest Soma artist Charles Fenckler. The young French artist is making waves in Techno at the moment and has certainly delivered on this project, giving his version a much more minimalistic, stripped and ends up with a solid dance floor burner.

Edition 282 marks the long awaited debut of Manuel Anós aka Psyk on the expansive and honorable Tresor Records catalog. The Madrid-based producer had previously released a single track 'Jackin' under the alias Maan back in 2012 on DJ Deep's Kern Vol. 01 compilation.
Psyk takes the stage with a four-track solo EP ‘Works’, also including a digital bonus track. On both side’s first positions – with ‘Definition’ and ‘Balance’ – Psyk delivers electrifying tracks teetering on the boundaries of hypnosis. On the inner-rims, Psyk slows down the pace with ’Stigma’ and ‘Lowdown’, introducing some industrial tones to his techno equation.
