He is the founder of Modular Expansion Records & Modulation Εvents. His vinyl releases “Quelle” and “Ekhowax” on his label, with remixes from Truncate, Zadig, Johannes Volk, NX1 , Birth Of Frequency and Lee Holman have gotten great support from worldwide artists like Juan Atkins, Laurent Garnier, Richie Hawtin, Josh Wink, Marcel Dettmann, Nina Kraviz, Chris Liebing, Dubfire, Ben Sims, The Advent, Umek, Tommy Four Seven and many more. He released tracks in labels such as Paranaoid Dancer, LCR, Etichetta Nera, Sabotage, unGleich, Bellboy and many more. He is also active in a side-project with Alex Retsis, and together they have released several tracks and run the live analogue project EMEX sponsored by KORG Synthesizers. From 2013 runs the “Modular Expansion Podcast” series with a fabulous list of artists and great success. Pooja B (she/her) is an Indian artist who is now based in Berlin. Her sound was heavily influenced by the music she heard here when she first visited the city back in 2016. Her idea of techno is a skittish exploration of time and space in this Dystopian world. While futuristic, loopy, industrial sounds for dark clubs are her signature style, she can skillfully adapt to play music for outdoor spaces which still have a sprinkling of her special flavor.

She has been a resident at Analog Room a weekly underground party with a cult following in Dubai, where she was based because of her flight-attendant job. She also held residencies at Warped & Electric Days prior to this, also in Dubai.

Pooja B releases her music under the alias “ikigai”. Ikigai is a Japanese concept that means "a reason for being". Her reason for being is to make people dance :) She also takes a firm stand against racism, sexism & environmental issues, which she expresses via her music.

As part of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture’s 2024 program “All of Greece, One Culture”, Modular Expansion organized “Phygital”, an immersive event showcasing live audiovisual performances. These performances blended digital and physical-analog musical instruments, complemented by digital projection. The event took place at Rio Castle in collaboration with the Greek National Opera and the Archaeological Service.
The Phygital event is structured into three distinct live music performances of contemporary electronic music artists George Apergis and Alex Retsis, alongside simultaneous digital artwork projections by the artistic group DEN. This includes visual haikus, a collage of brief micro-compositions combining instrumental and synthetic forms, connected by a deconstructive and unpredictable storytelling.
In the first hour, the audience had the experience of a digital live music performance by Qebo (Alex Retsis), featuring a blend of electroacoustic and ambient music inspired by the architecture of the castle. The second hour highlights the EMEX project by George Apergis and Alex Retsis, blending physical-analog instruments with digital technology to offer a dynamic interplay between digital and analog sounds. The final hour was dedicated to an analog live performance where George Apergis will exclusively use vinyl records. With the financial support and under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture.

Techno producer from Melbourne, Australia. Owner of label Denude.

Since 2013 he has appeared on labels such as KMS, Intacto, Parabel, Flash and Dynamic Reflection. Tirelessly spreading his vision of electronic music both locally and abroad, Eddie has toured his sound from local festivals and club nights such as Sydney Mardi Gras, Rainbow Serpent and Strawberry Fields, through to Berlin’s Tresor club and Amsterdam Dance Event. In 2021 Eddie released his EP ‘Dormancy’ on German label ODD/EVEN, which was heavily supported by key tastemaker DJs. In the same year he launched his own label Denude - a platform for his own works and to support other likeminded local and international artists to push Australian electronic music globally. Late 2022 will see the release of Eddie’s debut album Far Beyond on his label, which traverses the boundaries of techno - a unique textural palette of Detroit, dub, ambient and breakbeat influences.

Modular Expansion was founded by George Apergis and has run successfully, since 1998. The name “Modular Expansion” is inspired from the first analog modular synthesizers of which different parts were connected between each-other, forming an expansion.Modular Expansion is a cultural body of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and has to its credit actions with the auspices and financial support of the Ministry of Culture and the Municipality of Athens. Actions such as vinyl releases, art videos and publishing events. He is also a European Design Award holder, Silver Award in 2016 in the category Music & Films Covers. Modular Expansion have events in a lot of European cities and famous places like Berghain, Tresor, Suicide, Sisyphos, Renate, Birgit in Berlin, also in cities like London, Rome, Barcelona, Sofia, Warsaw, Moscow, Tel Aviv and at the most prestigious places in Athens.

Modular Expansion is one of the first teams which started organizing Techno events in Athens in 1998. In the end of the 90s began to host artists from the labels such as Tresor, Basic Channel and Chain Reaction, presenting the Berlin underground music vibe and making techno popular in the Greek capital. Founder of Modular Expansion known as George Apergis performs already in 2002 at the legendary Tresor in Berlin. Counting in his history more than 1000 events and hundreds of guest artists like Adam Beyer, The Advent, Alexander Kowalski, Truncate, Ø [Phase], Schwefelgelb, Yanamaste, Parallx, Philipp Strobel, Psyk, dj Rolando, Monoloc, Drumcell, Brian Sanhaji, Radial, Substance, Vainqueur, Johannes Volk, Funk D Void, Dave Tarrida, Sender Berlin, Kevin De Vries, Subjected and many more belongs in one of the oldest teams in the city of Athens

In 2012 come the label of Modular Expansion Records, with releases and the support of global fame artists which has been the baseline to follow up events abroad and especially in Berlin, with gigs in clubs like Suicide, Berghain, Tresor, Sisyphos and many more.
