Pooja B (she/her) is an Indian artist who is now based in Berlin. Her sound was heavily influenced by the music she heard here when she first visited the city back in 2016. Her idea of techno is a skittish exploration of time and space in this Dystopian world. While futuristic, loopy, industrial sounds for dark clubs are her signature style, she can skillfully adapt to play music for outdoor spaces which still have a sprinkling of her special flavor.

She has been a resident at Analog Room a weekly underground party with a cult following in Dubai, where she was based because of her flight-attendant job. She also held residencies at Warped & Electric Days prior to this, also in Dubai.

Pooja B releases her music under the alias “ikigai”. Ikigai is a Japanese concept that means "a reason for being". Her reason for being is to make people dance :) She also takes a firm stand against racism, sexism & environmental issues, which she expresses via her music.

Modular Expansion was founded by George Apergis and has run successfully, since 1998. The name “Modular Expansion” is inspired from the first analog modular synthesizers of which different parts were connected between each-other, forming an expansion.Modular Expansion is a cultural body of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and has to its credit actions with the auspices and financial support of the Ministry of Culture and the Municipality of Athens. Actions such as vinyl releases, art videos and publishing events. He is also a European Design Award holder, Silver Award in 2016 in the category Music & Films Covers. Modular Expansion have events in a lot of European cities and famous places like Berghain, Tresor, Suicide, Sisyphos, Renate, Birgit in Berlin, also in cities like London, Rome, Barcelona, Sofia, Warsaw, Moscow, Tel Aviv and at the most prestigious places in Athens.

Modular Expansion is one of the first teams which started organizing Techno events in Athens in 1998. In the end of the 90s began to host artists from the labels such as Tresor, Basic Channel and Chain Reaction, presenting the Berlin underground music vibe and making techno popular in the Greek capital. Founder of Modular Expansion known as George Apergis performs already in 2002 at the legendary Tresor in Berlin. Counting in his history more than 1000 events and hundreds of guest artists like Adam Beyer, The Advent, Alexander Kowalski, Truncate, Ø [Phase], Schwefelgelb, Yanamaste, Parallx, Philipp Strobel, Psyk, dj Rolando, Monoloc, Drumcell, Brian Sanhaji, Radial, Substance, Vainqueur, Johannes Volk, Funk D Void, Dave Tarrida, Sender Berlin, Kevin De Vries, Subjected and many more belongs in one of the oldest teams in the city of Athens

In 2012 come the label of Modular Expansion Records, with releases and the support of global fame artists which has been the baseline to follow up events abroad and especially in Berlin, with gigs in clubs like Suicide, Berghain, Tresor, Sisyphos and many more. I’m passionate about creating incredible spaces for live music in the most unexpected places. Growing up with parents who only played pop, I found my groove through the Beatles, Bob Dylan, Simon & Garfunkel, mid-west underground hip hop, and classical music, especially the cello. While I don’t perform, I’m all about curating the perfect vibe. My musical taste spans melodic and heavy techno, classic rock, classical, and experimental electronic.

As the mayor of Twilight Language at Burning Man, we hosted the best pizza party on the playa last year, and got a track named after us. This year’s lineup is set to be even more epic. My core message? Life’s gonna be okay if you give it your best shot every day. I’m all about problem-solving and staying behind the scenes to create unforgettable experiences.

When I’m not busy with music, you’ll find me flying FPV drones in stunning locations, cruising there in my Jeep Anvil, with my Australian Shepherd and perfect partner.
