Following the success of the first compilation, Blocaus series keeps exploring the powerful depths of techno and returns with the second instalment of Era Novum which aims to promote rising talents with the contribution of etablished artists. On the July 30th, Blocaus series will release 'Era Novum II’, a 16 effectively selected cuts with strong industrial / EBM influences, peak time madness and 90’s techno style featuring Alessandro Adriani, ANFS, Casual Treatment, EKORS, Headless Horseman,  Henning Baer, Leiras, Melania, Nastia Reigel, NX1, Quelza, Takaaki Itoh, Tapefeed, Templer, Terence Fixmer,  VSK. 16 effective cuts compiled to form a perfect unit, straight for early mornings on darker dancefloors. An absolute must for any techno enthusiast! All the income from the compilation will be donated to UNICEF.

There is no doubt that the native Detroiter Jeff Mills, as "The Wizard", put his own mark on the Cologne Psycho Thrill club-nights and thus the entire West German Rhine Area in terms of Techno in the years 1991-2007 through his innumerable appearances in the Cologne ClubEvent institution. Mills' track "Mosainga", which was given to Claus Bachor in 1996 for publication on his own label, also played a significant part in this well beyond the 2000’s. In 1997 for the first time (unofficially) released in advance via Roland Caspers Essence label on a "Psycho Thrill EP" White-Label limited to 500 copies, Mosainga finally appeared remastered in 2004 on Psycho Thrill's own "Motor City Dayz Vol.1" (PTNE 2111) compilation including a DJ-friendly bonus loop and then finally made its way straight into the clubs of the world. The track then received renewed attention beyond its natural decay value in the Cologne BNKR years (2011-2016), which were deeply shaped by Psycho Thrill itself for Cologne's nitelife, in which the Cologne label completely redefined the entire Techno culture of the Dome metropolis in its own way 2 be propelled forward once again. 

The desire quickly arose to give the relatively short running time of the original track of around 4 minutes a more extended club play character, which with the longer running time corresponded even more to the dark, monotonously driving sound philosophy of the old WKII bunker walls. The two Psycho Thrill "BNKR boyz" Claus Bachor and Chris Baumann therefore re-edited the track in 2 slightly different, powerful variants, and so "Mosainga" succeeded in becoming a downright hypnotic Future Club Classic, whose bass always hit the audience in sheer quality Club euphoria drove. Berlin's own Milton Bradley, a friend of the family who was also often present at the BNKR turntables, subsequently developed his own two Roland TB303-affine "ALIEN RAIN" remixes, which stripped "Mosainga" down to its basic structure. And the two new versions further created a floor-effective 90’s Acid-House hallucination feel to keep it movin' when the crowd said "Go!". 

Now the occasion of the threshold on the label’s 29th to 30th anniversary, is exactly the right time to press the track’s interpretations nowadays on vinyl for posterity. Where the Psycho Thrill BNKR (somewhere in Cologne ...) and Mills' legendary Vinyl sets are long gone, "Mosainga" is “written in stone” so to  speak, as a timeless, powerful club-anthem, especially in the current Psycho Thrill residency at Düsseldorf's famous GOLZHEIM Club. And a true masterpiece of top-notch quality "forever and one day", which still continues to leave time and space Mills unmistakably typical behind itself.

Formerly known as P. Lopez, Ariel Me Llamo is co-owner of the Tango club in Asunción and co-curator of the In-Between label with Victoria Mussi.

Ariel calibrates his instruments for an even tougher, direct drive into up-tempo, funky techno and rave. This eight-track EP also includes 2 special collabs with Amanda Mussi and Inland.

As 2022 concludes, Marcel Fengler opens a new career chapter with the announcement of ‘10 Years IMF’, an inspiring compilation that marks a decade of his influential label Index Marcel Fengler.

A “heart project” two years in the making, the work showcases 12 cuts exclusive to the compilation, and in-line with the imprint’s ethos, unites established and emerging artists. At the same time, true to Fengler’s own vision, it presents productions that span the full breadth of the techno genre – whether it be funky, elegant, industrial, atmospheric or broken beat, right through to the harder techno variety, ’10 Years IMF’ stands as Fengler’s personal manifesto of techno and the artistic possibilities of the genre.

Functional and thrilling in equal doses, the compilation explores Fengler’s multi-faceted vision of techno, curating a line-up of tracks from artists across the generations; there’s Etapp Kyle intricate breakbeat-laden ‘None’, Dasha Rush’s full-bodied industrial funk ‘RAW 21’, the frenetic grooves of SHDW & Obscure Shape’s ‘Deep Rising’ and .VRIL’s incandescent synth-led ‘Hybris’, alongside a troupe of fresh talent still in their production infancy.
STEYA, who’s set to release her debut EP on IMF in 2023, gives us an exciting taste of what’s to come with ‘Prototype X’, a deliciously punchy cut imbued with plenty of swing; prodigal teenage talent Cratan aka Decoder is rated by Fengler as the most exciting young talent in techno and the silky sci-fi weapon ‘Lazka’ makes a terrific highlight. “A wonderful tune that ideally completed the V/A like a missing puzzle piece,” the IMF boss shares before promising there will be more to come for Cratan on the label. Rising Berlin-based Ukrainian producer Chontane is another who excites him, joining the label off the back off strong cuts on Arts and Rekids, with ‘Dira’: “His style is a good balance of soulful sound layers and a big portion of danceable grooves. I absolutely love it.” Rodiaz’s ‘The Ancient Sage’ has been a beloved go-to track to close out sets for Fengler and appropriately winds out the project. It’s a timely reminder that techno can be simultaneously elegant and powerful and the dancefloor need not suffer any loss of energy because of it. “He sent me a playlist of uncompromising stunners and each track was better than the last,” he buzzes. “Expect more bangers on IMF soon.”
