Soma welcomes back longtime affiliate Arnaud Le Texier as he drops yet another storming 4 track release on the “Substance EP”. Arnaud has been one of techno’s most prolific producers and this latest EP demonstrates his unique ability to deliver consistently high quality, dance floor orientated tracks.

Title track 'Substance' is packed with groove and attitude from the outset a Le Texier drops an intense percussive workout to kick things off. 'Magnetic Tape' goes deeper with cutting stabs providing the depth throughout the track. 'Space Funk' brings yet more depth but with crunching and powerful drums pushing out high intensity vibes. 'Orexis' closes out the release with a looping and hypnotic sequence once again backed by Le Texier’s signature driving, percussive elements.

Art Bei Ton is releasing its 8th VA under the title “Aggressivity Not Welcome”, as a statement on the current political climate. We stand together in opposition to all forms of oppression, and those who use their power to commit violence and discrimination against humans and all living beings.
Featuring artists from different corners of the world, this 8-track compilation showcases a diverse range of sounds — from ritualistic drums to deep and trippy techno.

Opening the journey with some 85Bpm ritualistic drums, the Mexican artist Koscoy guides the listener through a hypnotic soundscape of ancestral rhythms and textured layers. The talented Indian producer and DJ Innerworld offers an introspective journey, blending psychedelic elements, hypnotic pads, and atmospheric textures with subtle percussive details.

With this deep techno tune, Japanese artist eRee guides us through her minimalistic sonic journey, traveling through cinematic sounds and organic textures. Mesmerizing audiences for years, Italian artist Worg offers another hypnotic and driving track — a perfect dancefloor tune. A master at blending deep, hypnotic, and driving techno elements, Berlin-based artist VIVEZ creates a meditative space with pulsating rhythms and trippy layers. Through his track “Swings,” Hal delivers a deep and driving techno experience, blending dark soundscapes with trippy elements.

Lisbon-based duo ERR0 deliver a driving and trippy track, blending groovy basslines and rhythmic percussion — a perfect tool to energize the dancefloor. Closing this VA, the amazing Georgian artist Boyd Schidt casts a mystical spell on the listener with trippy rhythms and obscure incantations.

You never really know how it can sound when the feelings and the reality of the everyday life starts shaping the pulse and the characters of a track, before even dropping a kickdrum or a bass in the mix. The composition of the elements making Atomos Ep, by spanish artist Korben Nice, is filled and configured to bring the listener between the velocity of techno and the several rhythmical steps of the playing parts. Korben Nice indeed reveals the effect of life and its constant instability and changes and how it affects the process of creation.

The first track, Atom, kicks off the journey with hypnotic sounds that sets the ground for a deep and dark voice, fading and letting the space again for more percussive sounds. It introduces the unit that will then serve as the building matter. The second track, Isotope, gives no relief to the listener, ringing anguishing bells and contrasting with the tribal sounds and uplifting pads. The sound contradiction is at the center of the track and will perfectly serve the dancefloor. Light then comes in with Atomos third track, Circonio, and announces the pounding techno machinery. Still, ray of nostalgia and melancholia can be felt piercing the systemic wheelwork, leaving the listener changed without even noticing.

The three original compositions are packed with a brilliant remix of the track Atom by techno artist Eric Fetcher which emphasizes in a really personal way the global ambiance of Atomos.
