W 2013 roku @Keepsakes zadebiutował w Sequel One wydawnictwem "Night Echoes". Większość utworów znajdujących się na tej EP'ce była oryginalnym rozwinięciem future i uk garage'u. Jedynie numer "Kontaina" odstawał stylistycznie od całości lokując się gdzieś w okolicach bass music przełamywanej techno. Ten, wydawać by się mogło, jednorazowy przejaw w twórczości nowozelandzkiego producenta, okazał się dominującym motywem w jego najnowszej EP'ce "STYGIAN CONCRETE WORKS" ukazującej się po raz kolejny nakładem Sequel One.
Od samego początku towarzyszą nam bezlitosne uderzenia beatu otoczone siarczystymi samplami o industrialnym pochodzeniu ("Easy Now"). W "Yessir" pojawiają się luźne skojarzenia z "Ventolin" Aphex Twina za sprawą skorodowanych i przesterowanych fraz. Kolejne utwory to konsekwentny pokaz siły Keepsakesa, który nie zamierza odpuszczać ani na moment. W "Galso In Camo" pod surowym tempem sunie głęboki bas, z kolei w "Gravlee" jest on ziarnisty i przeplata się z rytmicznym pulsem, finalny "Tunnel" przynosi narastającą dawkę hałasu otoczoną wwiercającym się w głowę morderczym loopem.
"STYGIAN CONCRETE WORKS" przynosi całkowitą zmianę stylistyczną w twórczości Keepsakes'a. Dostajemy surowe i radykalne wydawnictwo, pokazujące drzemiący w nowozelandzkim producencie potencjał oraz jego niecodzienną wszechstronność.

In 2013 @Keepsakes debuted in Sequel One with the release of "Night Echoes". Most of the tracks on the EP were an original expansion of future and UK garage. "Kontaina" was the only track that stylistically stood out, being somewhat a fusion of bass music and techno. This, as it may have seemed, singular expression in the work of New Zealand’s producer, turned out to be the dominating theme in his newest EP "STYGIAN CONCRETE WORKS" to be released on Sequel One.
 Since the beginning we are accompanied by merciless beat hits surrounded by heavy samples of industrial origin ("Easy Now"). Loose associations with Aphex Twin’s "Ventolin" appear in "Yessir" thanks to corroded and overdriven phrases. Other tracks are a consistent manifestation of Keepsakes strength, who doesn’t intend to let it go for a minute. A deep bass hides behind the raw tempo in "Galso In Camo" while in "Gravlee" its granular and interweaves with rhythmic pulse. Finally "Tunnel" delivers an increasing dose of noise surrounded by infectious and murderous loop.
 "STYGIAN CONCRETE WORKS" brings a complete stylistical change in Keepsakes‘ musical output. We receive a raw and radical release, showing the potential of the producer and his one of a kind versatility.

Adam Beyer is back on Drumcode with an impressive array of tracks that will get the senses tingling and shows us what Drumcode is all about. These 4 tracks are deep and almost melancholic in their approach to techno, using effects to really help enforce an ambience only Beyer can achieve within his productions. The under lying throbbing of the drums drives this EP into the forefront of the heads down Drumcode sound and have been heard in many of Beyer’s phenomenal sets throughout the year.

A massively hyped tracks that has been the subject of huge fan-demand since it first featured on Beyer’s Drumcode Radio in January. However, ’Love Siren’ will battle it out for the most attention from punters, packed with all the power and punch required to knock over festival crowds as it systematically builds and drops this is one for the big open air stages. ‘Rumours’ wraps things up in slightly more understated but non-the-less effective fashion with its drawn out, tension building intro mushrooming into a crescendo of sleazy chords and sparking melodies.

After releasing an underground superbanger that reached the first place in Beatport’s techno chart and which uncompromisingly fired up the club’s turmoil ’Hoodlum’, Romain Reynaud aka Traumer is back with another smashing piece of art. First featured in Papa’s mastefrul Essential Mix and now to be released in Cocoon’s 15th compilation on the 24th of August, ‘Kiraf’ is destined to become the raw techno anthem. And for the launching of our premiere series, we are proud to present it to our audience. The Clubber also got a chance to have Traumer for a conversation which you can read further.

Cissi Moon changed my life! It was in a now refurbished part of Stockholm in a futuristic cafe/club called Holger that i had my first encounter with loudly played club music. The night was called dB and we lined up with our fake IDs every Saturday to hear Cissi Moon spin Drum & Bass records and let the bass engulf our beings.

At the time the art of making electronic music was totally alien to me, I could not for the life of me work out how to ever make music that carried the same emotional and physical impact as I felt on that dance floor .
I have spent the last 17 years or so trying to get back to that state of being at one and completely lost with the music. 

This record concludes a trilogy of EPs by Peder Mannerfelt on his eponymously named label. What comes next is everything and beyond.
