SOS Colombia V/A Part II ``In absence and violence of the state. People unite and self-organize" is a collective cry of the electronic music community to denounce the police brutality in Colombia given in the protests since 28th of April and raise awareness about the danger of social leaders and activists working towards defending human rights. Up until today there has been registered by the NGO Temblores: 2905 cases of police brutality, 43 cases of murder, 26 cases of sexual abuse. This compilation continues the campaign to raise funds for NGOs working for the defense of human rights and self-organised initiatives. We want to support, especially with the income of this release, to self organized initiatives as independent journalism and NGOs registering cases of police violence such as:

3,2,1.. lift off! Mukuna's tornado is heading your way and the only possible thing to do is to surrender to the tension. Industrial percussion, broken beat and glacial synthesisers are soaking you right into the eye of the storm. A variety of drums combined with African chants are another introduction of a new whirly roundabout. Fast and furious melodies are evolving into a mind-bending techno track, ready to hypnotise and sweep you of your feet in Mukuna’s twister. A refreshing blend of dancehall influenced tracks with jacking house and rhythmic noice keeps the mix interesting till the very last second until the storm settles. Enjoy flying!

GiGi FM is a trained dancer, which gives her a deeper insight into the intrinsic relationship between music and bodily movement. You can read a lot more about her philosophy and approach in the interview below, but you don't even need to know about it to hear this in her RA Podcast—a collection of swirling deep techno that rivals anything made by the usual cohort of "hypnotic" techno heads.

Looking at the tracklist doesn't really do it justice, but the names involved give you an idea of what to expect: Varuna, ASC, Donato Dozzy, The Orb, Sunju Hargun. This is techno that ripples rather than bludgeons, that moves with an ethereal grace, where tracks bleed into one another beautifully, with a few surprises, too. While you're here, you should check out her Magnetite EP for Bambounou's label Bambe, already one of the young year's most bewitching techno records. But if this is your introduction, then turn off the lights, light a candle or some palo santo, and sink into two hours of your new favorite techno DJ.

Monnom Black will mark its 17th release with its first various artist compilation presented on triple vinyl. Keeping with the label’s modus operandi, the compilation is packed with iconic, raw and uncompromising techno, featuring 13 artists new and old to the imprint, including a re-release of a classic Drax aka Thomas P. Heckmann track from 1993.

To coincide with the launch of the compilation, Monnom Black will hold its first highly-anticipated label party. Locking arms with the notorious underground Dutch promoters Reaktor, known for their challenging events and pushing the boundaries of what techno has to offer. Together they will celebrate with an electronic onslaught on New Year’s Eve in Amsterdam’s Elementstraat Warehouse. A location cut to the bone that perfectly encapsulates the label and promoters combined vision and ethos.

Dax J curates the night fusing the label together for a special moment in time, with the titan warehouse opening up two of its rooms hosting a monster line up with the likes of CJ Bolland, Regis as CUB, Thomas P. Heckmann, I Hate Models, UVB, Stranger, Zanias, Cressida, Inhalt Der Nacht, Raffaele Attanasio, Tommy Holohan and Remco Beekwilder.
