This eleventh podcast of the Elata Series features michael ius, a Romanian artist, a classical guitarist who turned into a techno producer.
He started producing techno in 2019 and developed his sound through constant experimentation.
Now, with releases on Maloer Records, WSNWGBTZ, OUT OF PLACE, SYXT, Duplicity, and his own IUS series on Bandcamp, he is supported by underground artists and labels.

We are extremely happy to have Michael on our Series. When we discovered his music, we directly felt a special connection with what we want to express and played countless of his tracks during our different events. We also had the chance to meet him and we discovered a lovely human on top of a very talented producer and we are sure we will have much ore collaboration in the future.

“Inverted Collapse” by JOTON explores the forbidden geometry of the cosmos , where gravity spits instead of swallows, and time itself rots at the edges of reality. Inspired by the hypothetical phenomenon of white holes, this release channels a dark, mechanical energy, pushing techno into a space where decay, expulsion, and reversal converge. Amotik celebrates 10 years of his self-titled imprint with a new three-track solo effort. The Amotik imprint was launched in July 2015 as a platform to release the works of Anil Chawla, aka Amotik. Over the course of 10 years, it grew into a staple in the modern techno landscape. He released mostly his own tracks, but also recently started a successful side branch in the form of AMTK+, through which he invites admired and like-minded artists to present their take on techno.

After having inaugurated the Amotik imprint, Chawla’s music was picked up by legendary labels such as Len Faki’s Figure and BPitch Control, which gave him a steady flow of releases over the past few years. But releasing on his own imprint has always been the purest form of his expression. A passionate DIY mentality and a deep love for vigorous techno form the core of his latest EP on the label: three forceful yet elegant techno works, where the pounding kick drums are stronger than ever.

Kamen is a French DJ and producer, co-founder of OSS Records and GRS Techno. His sound blends hypnotic techno, industrial grit, hardgroove energy, and ambient depth, with a strong focus on textured sound design and precision rhythms.

Active for nearly 15 years, he draws inspiration from labels such as Hayes, Ilian Tape, and Mutual Rytm, and also performs under the alias JS.TRICKS as well as one half of the duo Crime Partners.

With releases on respected imprints including Skryptöm, PRX Records, PRTL WRX, DifferentSounds, and Inphase, Kamen continues to shape his distinctive sonic universe. His recent standout performance at FOLD for the 100th UNFOLD event confirmed his rising profile.

A versatile and dedicated artist, Kamen is part of a new generation pushing techno forward with depth and character.
