The young musician, hailing from the deep south of Germany, sets quite the pace when it comes to his vision of electronic music, regarding both tempo as well as quality. His beats, be in the studio or in the DJ booth, appear to come and arrange themselves seemingly with no effort. A Rave-infected sonic testing ground without ever feeling like a simple Rave pastiche. Avision of Techno that is obviously inspired by its sound of the 90s, but neither exceedingly aggressive, nor excessively happy. Egotot has a special taste for rugged, up-tempo grooves which demand their own time to breathe and reveal their power. A sonic all-purpose weapon to be used on, for, and by the dance floor.

Fueled by a passion for improvisation and being influenced by the pioneering sounds of breakbeat and ambient, Jannik has honed a unique and minimalistic style, which has led him to release on Sleeparchive and our very own Frenzy Recordings with 'Desire' [FRNZYVA002]. 

Next to that, Jannik is one of the co-founders of the collective 'Diffraction' who provide nightlife to their hometown and surroundings. With a passion for innovation and a desire to live off of his creative pursuits, Jannik is excited to share his music with the world.

MARRØN, known for his rhythmic sound driven by his roots, has curated a hypnotizing mix exclusively for Float Records. The mix is released as a limited mix CD containing 31 unreleased tracks by up and coming talents and established artists from the techno landscape. Next to the CD, all tracks are released separately as a VA.  

A word from MARRØN: When I was approached to do a cd mix for Float Records with my complete input from a dj perspective, I was nothing but honored and motivated to create something special. I’ve selectively chosen producers who I feel musically connected to and those who could use a push in their young careers. It’s important for me to be able to give back to the scene as much as it gives me. 

This mix and all the tracks selected are mainly focused on the key elements I wish for in techno, which is having a locked in groove and rhythm throughout the whole duration of time. Pushing for detailed minimalism and pace that keeps you in a driving energetic mood. Punchy variated low ends but never too heavy, a mix that brings the club dancefloor to wherever you are listening to it.
