The first of our single release series, this one coming from Rogue Cuts founder @reclusebeats. The aim here is to bring free download tracks from friends and affiliates of the Rogue Cuts party, to give people a better idea of what the DJ's are creating and playing.

The track 'Molten' is a refreshed demo from Recluse from back in 2017 when he released an EP with club label Knightwerk. Glossy synths interweave with banging percussion work, ready for use in any club setting.

We are very proud to present you our new compilation called “Club Tribute Vol. 2”.

Almost two years after the first volume, a simple idea came to our minds : celebrating club culture through its diversity. As the first volume did, but this time going a little bit further than before : the spectrum of genres and approaches towards club music is here completely expanded, and shows above all that what is commonly qualify as “club sounds” covers in fact many different ways of thinking. Some with experimental takes on it, some others strictly made for the dance, some blending different styles, some with vocals, some rough, some soft, but all with a common point : inspired in some way by the club and its history, its evolutions, its spirit.

10 tracks (ranging from original ones, blends and edits) by 10 completely different artists, with different backgrounds, different locations and different musical careers that we really wanted to bring together through this project.

It gathers a large part of the artists who pass the blue metallic door and came to play in the Marseille’s warehouse over the last 4 years. They all wished to express their support to Metaphore Collectif.

Merlin Modulaw is a sonic architect who constructs immersive worlds and identities through the medium of sound. His artistic endeavors encompass a diverse array of approaches, spanning composition, production, performance, multimedia works and spatial audio. 

From an early age, his fascination with the convergence of various influences fueled a quest for innovation.
He seamlessly blends experimental electronic music and sound art with classical composition, contemporary rap, dancehall, and R&B, along with regional club-music styles. This unconventional fusion reveals the underlying parallels, forging a musical language that defies traditional boundaries.
Guided by a keen ear for innovative sound design and a talent for captivating performances across various mediums, Modulaw's artistic vision takes tangible form. Whether presenting acousmatic experiences, DJ-sets, performances, sound installations, or his own musical creations, he consistently pushes the limits of his artistic expression.

Having studied sound design and electroacoustic composition, Modulaw's creative exploration extends beyond the realm of music. He ventures into new territories such as videoworks and print, expanding the boundaries of his creative expression.
