Following up on their highly acclaimed debut release from 2020, raster presents Il Quadro di Troisi's »Remixes« album, an eclectic collection of reinterpretations of eight of the group's tracks.
By inviting fellow label artists as well as friends and long-term collaborators to contribute to this, »Remixes« shows a broad spectrum of diversity, ranging from colorful, loop-based renditions by Toulouse Low Trax and Tropicantesimo, to (Italo) disco-inspired versions by Daniele Baldelli & Marco Dionigi and Chloé, to more rhythmical and functional tracks by AtomTM, Dasha Rush and Front de Cadeaux. The album also includes a dub-infused reinterpretation of »Il giudizio« by the artists themselves.
»Remixes« will be out on raster on October 27, 2023 as 2xLP and digitally. The record's artwork was contributed by Spanish graphic designer Alicia Carrera.

The great comedown from the radiant warmth of summer is here and with it an opportunity to look inwards and reflect. It's this care or "Fürsorge" we give to ourselves and others that our next guest and dear friend Resom used as a theme for this mix. Recorded live almost exactly one year ago for the Swim crew in Basel, the theme of the event was to explore the concept of softness and the ethics of care. With this in mind, she set out to "send people on an acoustic trip, en route to a comfortable inner sphere - a sphere that cares acoustically also for dynamic and organically created versatile excurses." Indeed, it is this level of intention and care that makes her mixing immersive and healing.

Needless to say, we at Unrush fully embrace this theme and feel it's the perfect time to integrate it into our lives. So make yourself some tea, pause, and take care of yourself with this excursion into sound from Resom.

Gillan is a Dorset based artist and has been making her mark for the last few years with her eclectic selections in underground dance music, across the different spectrums of Ambient, Experimental, Techno and Trance. The curation of her mixes and sets are wired with a ritualistic intention of connecting us to the other wordly states that psychedelic & cosmic music can put us in, which allows us to form a profound relationship with the ancestral origin of sound and rhythm by connecting us to something so much deeper & greater than us. All carried by the subliminal undertones of how deeply meditative and transcendental music can be. 

Today iteration will be "an exploration of subliminal textures & fast paced rhythms to guide us back to a place that feels familiar but has no name."

"There are places where going without a script is cool, leaving concepts behind and telling a story through the present moment. But there are other spaces, like Temple, that invite the artist to premeditate and perhaps be a bit more vulnerable. Temple was, for me, an opportunity to share fears that rarely surface. To immerse the listener in an emotional environment that, although private and without context, allows each person to find a place in the room.

This live set was inspired by a recent dream. With the aim of creating those same scenes through sound and recordings, I found a script to follow with enough room to musicalize it through improvisation and the moment."
