The Ambient Zone is a beautiful journey into ambient and electronica inspired by universal themes of calmness, purity, relaxation and enrichment where Weightless is coupled with some exclusive first releases and other blissfully ambient tracks from Just Music artists and alumni.

Created instinctively and intuitively by Marconi Union, Weightless has been claimed to have therapeutic properties in the way the track almost appears to have a heartbeat running through it which slows down very gently throughout the piece, encouraging a deep sense of relaxation in the body, It's use of specific rhythms, beep bass tones, frequencies and intervals induce an almost trance like state in the listener.

How to describe something that has no edge, no angle? Spherical! Then imagine the sounds travel through this sphere....

The Spacing Of The Spheres EP by John Ov3rblast's provides a new departure through techno. Deep moods from the north of England.

'The Wheeling Star' is a dark, soaring progressive techno groove. A rumbling, mechanised monster with snatches of rippling bass-line beneath a brooding cinematic synth riff.

'A Stranger In A Strange Land' and 'Synchronicities' beat their way through ambient soundscapes. The former is a pulsing, percussive march through a celestial atmosphere. The latter a dubby, ambient symphony. Tribal breakbeats and chants, a deep Balearic feel.

'Bodinstrasse' is as deep as its namesake beneath Berlin. A shuffling percussive foundation supporting intricate arpeggiated chimes, bells and synth stabs. Fragile beauty in the sound.

'Divination' and 'Subspaces' move purposefully through psychedelia and science fiction. Glitchy and spooky. Spectral voices and distant transmissions from afar. Downtempo rhythms from the depths of the machine.

'Reach For The Lasers' offers another deeply psychedelic impression. Shimmering, staccato instruments. Pulsing, syncopated waves of sound moving between deep percussion and beat less movements.

Modyfier is an Artist’s platform: it’s an idea acting as energy, it’s an experiment in accrual (as a collection), it’s an attitude that rides creativity and freedom. The Process Series relies on referral as people who participate each suggest someone else, creating its form, shifting in directions I would not be able to steer alone. Matthew Barney once said this about his early ‘Drawing Restraint’ work that really struck me: “I was thinking about how the body functions in training – how the muscle breaks down under resistance and then heals larger and stronger. I was trying to use that process of resistance to create form.”
